he’s about to knock on the door when her hears her voice, muffled & clearly speaking into a receiver. luke had spent the majority of the afternoon figuring out how to tell her how he felt, and naturally the universe’s vendetta against him thickens at the words he hears spilling from her lips. i miss you, too. and he wants to leave, he really does, but he’d leaned too hard against the door and now it’s opening, leaving him standing in the threshold with a bouquet in his hand. ❛ oh, uh .. — - someone left these for you. ❜ it’s a lie, but there’s no point in spilling his heart out if she’s back with her shitty boyfriend.
kamilla paces ever so slowly around her apartment, blankly staring at the floor as the male from the other end of the conversation confesses feelings. she and him had been back and forth, and she had to admit it was a bit exhausting, but she couldn't help running back each time. twirling small strands of her semi-long mocha colored hair, she listens to his empty promises, that she's hopes so much would be true. she sighs, "i miss you, too." and god she does, but it almost doesn't seem worth it anymore.the movement of her door swinging open slowly catches her eye and she turns to look, a little afraid, because it could be a murderer or something. not likely. it's to her surprise, and delight, luke. "oh.. hey!" she mouths, eyeing the bouquet in his grasp. "i'll call you back, my cousin is here." lie, because if she told him a male friend was there, then so would he and she doesn't need that. hanging up the phone, kami was already walking in his direction. "hey, what's up! is there like a note or something?" she asks curiously, grabbing them from him.
" ---- no. okay, and frankly i think you're being a little bit ridiculous."
"you have a lot of nerve, coming to my school.. of all places? fuck !!"
"i don't know, i just thought ---- you know what it's not even important, forget it."
"who the fuck told you that?" blair isn't one to get nervous, but god does this getting out have her on her toes. "don't ever say that out loud, understand? there's not an ounce of truth to it."
