Hey there! Just wanted to give a heads up that @lavi1443 and I will be at Harucon next week (Sunday, March 12). Our tables are B30 and B29 on the second floor, at Agam foyer. For anyone who’s going to be there and likes what we do - please don’t forget to drop by!

I think I'll take a break from Inktober. As much as I wanted to complete the challenge, and enjoyed filling my stekchbook pages, I just can’t keep up the pace. Drawing every single day is hard when you’re not used to it; doing so has drained all of my energy. Also, I prefer drawing detailed characters and scenery - it’s a bit frustrating to do that while being limited to 24 hours and ink pens. To avoid this problem I settled for simple ideas beforehand, but my perfectionist part nagged me to draw more complex stuff. :( Tl;dr I’ll go back to posting every once in a while from now on. Here’s a tiny sparrow.

Inktober day 12: Tulips When in doubt, draw pretty flowers. I still need to edit yesterday’s post (edited!) and to color the drawings from the last two days... I’ve got to admit, this is getting tiring.

Inktober day 9: Uncomfortable/Summer Ava It’s starting all over again... I think I’m getting a bit obsessed over this webcomic and its characters. I just love discovering all the little facts about them. This is definitely a bad sign (￣▽￣*)ゞ

Day 8: Florem Mortem I usually draw flowers and cubes when I’m bored and/or don’t feel like getting work done. Also I started reading Ava’s Demon the day before yesterday. This is the result of those two factors. Based on this photo.

Day 5: House Cat.

Day 4: Lotus and koi. I really like this flower, so I made a companion for it.

Day 3: Lotus. Didn’t feel like drawing anything today but decided not to skip it, so I made this. Also I used the opportunity to test out something new - an erasable pen - and I’m pretty satisfied with the result! I think this pen actually works better for me than sketching with a pencil before inking. Not only it shortens the process (and it can be quite long for me, even for a simple drawing), there aren’t any eraser marks and/or pencil smudges left. The only shortcoming is that the pen tip isn’t good for small detailed drawings. Well, I guess you can’t get it all.

Inktober day 2. Not my best but still nice overall. In my mind, she’s drinking tea while waiting for something, perhaps someone.
