Slow Mournings

Desiree unfortunately began her morning in tears. A simple text has sent her back down a painful road of memories and thoughts of the person, and the pain, she moved to get away from.

Joseph McNeill was Desiree's high school sweetheart. Though they were never married she was in love with him and the little family they became after Mariah was born. Unfortunately, Joseph was unfaithful. A couple of times...every time though they'd argue and hash it out and move on. For the sake of Mariah. Or at least that's what Desiree kept telling herself.

In reality, she hasn't allowed herself to let go of this idea of a perfect little family and relationship that truthfully died a long time ago when Joseph stepped out. But now with some encouragement from some friends (who have been sounding like a broken record for years) she moved out of the city to start anew. Without him. Just her and Mariah is what she will be focusing on now.

So despite the unwelcomed message and host of emotions, having breakfast with her daughter will always bring her joy.

Meet Mariah Warner (daugher of my Soul Food Legacy Founder!!)

If you didn't already guess from her outfits, she is going to be my heir which is the strawberry soda gen! She has the Admired Icon aspiration, and the romantic, perfectionist, overachiever and cheerful traits (the last two not being a part of gen 2!)

Backstory:

Having just moved to Willow Creek with her mom, away from the city that hosted her childhood just before she starts high school. It's a lot of changes, the main one being her being farther than ever from her dad. Her mom and her dad haven't had a typical relationship since Mariah was a toddler and though she hasn't been told, she has mostly pieced together that it is because her dad cheated on her mom. They've been off and on ever since. Mariah always had faith things would work out but now that they left the city...its seeming less likely. The changes aren't all bad though! She has a backyard now and a huge room. And best of all she now lives close to her cousins and can see them much more often which will be great.

Meet Desiree Warner!!

As founder of the Soul Food Legacy Challenge (by @simsigga-soul) she has the Friend of the World aspiration and is outgoing, good, hot headed, family oriented and a foodie (the last two being extra traits i added myself!!)

Backstory:

Desiree has just moved from San Myshuno to Willow Creek with her daughter, Mariah. After the very last (hopefully) bout with her baby daddy she finally listened to her sister in law and left the city to live in Willow Creek! Just a neighborhood away from her sister in law Amber and her brother Dwight. Being in the education career, moving in the summer has given her time to settle in, meet her neighbors and do one of her favorite things; hosting cookouts!

Hello Netizens of Tumblr. Here are my sims, please love them as much as I do. Brandon (my heir of my legacy that I have been playing) just recently hosted a pool family get together and I got the cutest pictures of him with his twin brother and little sister. Additionallyyyy his son, Cooper and nephew Oscar got some adorable pictures together.

I will try to post my sims more often because I find this fun even though I'm still getting used to editing! Mayhaps I will do a more proper intro one day.
