Ratchet is a racialized term. So is ghetto. So is thug. So is welfare queen. Someone does not have to EXPLICITLY say the word “black” in order for something to be racist against black people. Speaking in flagrantly racist terms is one of the least sophisticated manifestations of racism today.
TemperedFury on Philip DeFranco’s, creator of the YouTube channel Philly D, use of racialized language. (via knowledgeequalsblackpower)

How you know an album is going to be dope
An interesting portrayal of a dysfunctional relationship between a writer and his wife in this video by David O'Reilly. The animation is trippy to say the least but the content is pretty deep. Titled "Please Say Something". The way he portrays the story through the animation can be misleading towards what he's trying to display to the audience but at the same time it adds meaning and context to the story. Pretty dope to me, maybe weird to others, watch it and decide.

We are proud to announce the second edition of the mixtape 'Filet Mignon'. Throughout this mixtape, let us present to you the artistic generatio...
Probably one of the most diverse mixtapes i've listened to in terms of music genre and sound. Most of these artists are french but their production styles have such a vast range that each song has something new and different to offer. Genres include juke, footwork, house, moombahton, techno and some bass filled futuristic beats. This mixtape is definitely a step up from part one in my opinion.
Favorite Song: Horsequake by Nömak & L'homme aux 4 lettres
Bakersfield, CA-based producer Charles Dickerson, better known as Mono/Poly, returns with his sophomore effort Golden Skies, the follow-up to 2010's Paramatma. The new record's out August 26 on Brainfeeder, and proffers what the musician describes as “electronic-classical-alchemy music."
Ninja Tune has always been one of my favorite record labels. So much talent comes from this label. The music they make is just so unique and sometimes undefinable by genre. Iv'e been streaming this producer Mono/Poly's album for a few minutes now and all i can say is that Ninja Tune does't disappoint. Really down-tempo, ambient type beats but the production is so crisp. Honestly sounds like something you would here in a futuristic syfy movie. It would be dope to hear a rapper spit a few bars over his beats. But yeah anyways can't wait for this album to drop, shout-out to Mono/Poly & Ninja Tune.

October 7th! ...
Flying Lotus taking jazz to a new level, anticipating this album, plus the art by shintaro kago is ridiculously trippy
