The royal tapestry has an inaccurate depiction of him. -He and Eclipsa are Toffee’s parents, making Toffee a Monster-Mewman hybrid (he physically resembles his father the most, and identifies as a Monster). “You’re the perfect height for an arm rest,” the Monster remarked, his snout showing all his fangs as he looked down at his Mewman lover with a playful grin.

“And you’re the perfect height to check on the weather.” The banter came natural to her. Everything felt… natural. It was nice, being here with her lover, without having to worry about anything.

“Sometimes you have wings for that too,” he said with a chuckle. Taking another step on their walk through the woods, Pema silently brushed aside some branches out of Eclipsa’s way.

“There’s a lake further down, with a waterfall,” he began to say, starting a specific invitation. “Up for a swim tonight?”

SVtFoE Theory about Eclipsa/Monster Love...

So, I’m fond of the Toffee-is-Eclipsa’s-Half-Mewman-Half-Monster-Son theory. I always feel rather pleased whenever I see someone bring up that idea, wondering if it could be true (I feel like trying to compile a list of those instances someday before season 3 starts). I have a lot of thoughts about this theory! Want to share more of them. Gonna try to focus on something I have not seen anyone else bring up, and it just keeps calling my attention.

Groggily trudging into the room he shared with Eclipsa, the large Septarian monster climbed back into bed, mindful of his horns and her body. When he checked, and found that she was still awake and clearly waiting, he nuzzled his snout against her cheek.

“The baby’s fine, he was just fussing,” Pema said, then laid down more, dark red and gray shoulder pressing against Eclipsa’s own, his tail softly swishing back and forth against her leg. “Got Toff back to sleep.”

He turned his head to look at her more closely, yellow eyes searching her face in the dark. Her cheek had still felt too warm when he touched it. “How are you feeling? Do you need anything? Water, or something?” Both the Monster and the Mewman had heard their infant son whimper and whine in the night, but Pema had gone alone to check on him, Eclipsa not daring to while she dealt with a cold.

Pema had hoped she would have fallen back to sleep while he checked on the baby, though he knew full well she would do her best to remain awake; only a deeper drain on her energy would have knocked her out at that point.
