Ahai and hello.
I want to tell you about my progress.
I’m learning a lot about Sylvari people. I’ve met and done many things with them. And with them I’m learning to be a warden. Their feelings are loud. I’ve been watching them and I can see how I’m like them. Cellen draws, like I do. The captain is really cool. Him and Eli are very close, like we were. What’s it like in the desert?
Sylvari are different to humans. They talk about everything, and their feelings. So they don’t just feel loudly, they also talk about their feelings a lot. The menders here are kind. I got hurt, but they mended me. Eli and Mio. Mio is really sweet. Except, there’s lots of her now. She says they’re her pod twins. Like human twins! I didn’t know Sylvari could be that.
I know you say they’re all my brothers and sisters, but it’s hard to understand them some days.
Raf’s troupe found me in Caledon. They took me for him. He is operating out of the Bloodtide coast now. But before they got me to him, I managed to escape on my own. Everything you taught me about being strong on my own came to me, and I felt like you and Casy and Isolde and Conway and Eleg and Dot and Mio were all in my thoughts and that made me feel stronger.
I feel like in that moment I realized that Raf would not allow me to pursue my interest in my friends and my new home. I don’t know if he would understand.
When I got home, Casy gave us puppies to look after. I got a little blind puppy, but while he cannot see, he doesn’t seem to mind! Marshy got his sister, and they don’t like to be without each other, so Marshy and I are looking after them together! Marshy isn’t as mean as I thought he was, but he was green and was eating dirt. He’s very confusing!
There was a festival. I saw Dia the Diamond again! He called me Sparkfly! I released a sparkfly, and it made me think of how good it was for the sparkfly to be freed. It wasn’t learning or seeing trapped in that lantern. My chest hurt to think about it being trapped. I hope the sparkfly is happy and exploring and has found lots of friends.
The chief mender, Eli, was drunk! I lost an arm wrestle with Elech. You know that thing the Vigil soldiers were always doing? Marshy stepped up and beat him afterward. It’s okay, I gave Elech lots of sweets to make him feel better.
I met a mender who was supporting the Vigil’s efforts in Elona! I can send money to you to help! That’s what I’m gonna go with all my pay!
I’m practicing with charcoal, so I’ve drawn my friends to show you! My fingers get really dirty when I use them. I’m learning a technique where you draw in charcoal and erase little bits with a piece of gum. It brings out highlights! It’s really cool!
I hope you’re doing good things in Elona. I miss the desert. I miss you.
