Summer has just ended and Donghyuck was so excited to return to school and see all of his best friends again. He had been away with his grandpa, accompanying him on business trips during the summer to learn the ins and outs of the family business and hadn’t seen his friends ever since summer break started. He put his phone aside after checking the stock market numbers before closing his eyes and going into a deep slumber.
“Shut up Jaemin, oh my god. That’s hilarious!” Jeno laughed as the boys sat around the common room table, laughing about something Jaemin had just said.
The “dream team” as they liked to call themselves consisted of Mark, Donghyuck, Jaemin and Jeno. However, influence and power over the nation had brought them close to two younger boys, Renjun and Chenle. The younger ones usually did their own thing but it wasn’t out of the ordinary for them to take step back and behave like they were older than 14.
“You’re here!” Donghyuck exclaimed and ran up towards the table, “just like always!”
“So I said, you mess with me, you mess with my crew so don’t mess with me,” Jaemin continued as if they hadn’t heard Donghyuck screaming.
“Hey guys it’s me. I am back from vacation!” Donghyuck said once again, announcing himself, “I was with my grandpa all summer, remember!”
“Uh oh, it’s time to get to class everybody,” Mark announced, looking at his watch and standing up.
“Hello,” Donghyuck enunciated one more time as the other picked up their bags and left their seats. “Jeno... Jaemin... Mark!” he called each one of them as they brushed past him not even looking, “can’t you see me?”
Just like that, the sun rose and the alarm next to Donghyuck’s bed rang waking him up from his dream world.
“Young master, it’s time to wake up,” his butler reported, heading into the room.
“Butler Lee. That was a terrible dream! My friends didn’t remember me.” He sighed, sitting up in his bed and grabbing a glass of water.
“It was only a dream, young master. Your tutor however will be here in just a few minutes,” The butler spoke again, laying out a hoodie and jeans that Donghyuck would change into fast.
“It’s the first day of school. Can’t I be tutored tomorrow?” Donghyuck stretched before getting out of his bed.
“Never too early to be prepared for class,” was the last thing his butler said to him. Butler Lee had seen Donghyuck for most of his life but sometimes he wasn’t sure if butler Lee actually knew him. Many times, the old man just seemed like a robot who kept a check on his activities and for the most part, that was what he was hired for.
Silently, Donghyuck brushed his teeth and changed into the clothes that had been laid out for him and headed into the study.
“Sleepy, aren’t we?” His tutor welcomed the boy as soon as he stepped in.
Donghyuck nodded as he sat down in front of the desk, “Just a little bit.”
“I missed you during the summer Donghyuck. How was the vacation?” The older tried to converse with him to get the sleepiness out.
Once again, the younger sighed, “it was a business trip so not much fun. What was your summer like, Taeil hyung?”
“I didn’t leave the country but it was alright.” He nodded, flipping a math book open, “What’s bothering you Donghyuck? You seem awfully quiet.”
“It’s the first day back to school and I already had a nightmare that none of my friends recognize me at all and I’m just a little saddened by that,” the younger confessed.
Taeil closed the book and scooted his chair closer to Donghyuck, “honey, they haven’t forgotten you. You haven’t changed so much over the summer to be forgotten, yeah you’ve grown a lot in terms of height and handsomeness, but ...” the tutor paused, clearing his throat because he had forgotten the point of the conversation.
“What are you trying to say?” Donghyuck asked.
“What I mean to say is, they remember you. Friendships evolve over time as you grow but true friends adjust and still make time for each other.” He smiled finishing his sentence.
Donghyuck looked down, not satisfied with the response. He sighed for the umpteenth time in the last five minutes before picking up a pencil.
“Hey think about it this way, your family owns half the malls in this country. If they forget you, you can just ban them all from ever being fashionable.” The older laughed and when he saw a smile flash on Donghyuck, he was satisfied enough to start teaching him math. “Let’s review some basic concepts in Math now shall we?”
Donghyuck arrived to his school in his private car about half hour early. His tutoring session had ended faster than expected and thankfully too. He wished this would happen so he could meet and talk to his friends before class.
“Woah look who decided to show up!” Jeno exclaimed as he ran up to Donghyuck and gave him a hug.
The others stood up right away, doing the same thing as Jeno and giving him a hug.
“Hi guys,” he greeted the rest, taking his seat at the table.
“Oh my god! Cute boy at 2 o’clock!” Mark exclaimed while Chenle looked at his wristwatch, “What do you mean 2 o’clock? It’s only like 8.30” he said loudly making Mark facepalm himself.
“Oh he’s cute!” Jaemin exclaimed as Jeno chimed in, “He looks nice.”
Everyone then turned to Donghyuck, wondering what he had to say about the boy in question, “um... he looks like he might be nice and fun to study with.”
“Okay... what’s wrong?” Mark questioned, “That’s definitely not what someone would say.”
Panicked, Donghyuck spoke fast, “What? That’s Park Jisung. It’s his first year in this school. I can’t believe you guys already forgot. You went to his father’s wedding just before school ended. Remember?”
The boys shook their head, “but we can always count on you to remember.” They laughed, standing up so they could head to class.
Taeyong explaining the meaning behind baby don’t stop:
I was inspired by my sister because I didn’t want to her to stop being my inspiration and motivation to do better. She keeps giving me the sign that I am doing well and should continue doing well in the future.
Calling Baekhyun as Bacon needs to stop. Baekhyun means highly wise/virtuous and you’re demoting that down to just food??? It is unacceptable and that shit needs to be left in 212087979 B.C.
2018 is the year NCT 127 is going to make their Japan debut!

For the past 4 months, people saw Kim Samuel, recognized his talent and raised him to where he could take part in the finale of Produce 101. He didn’t get into the final line up. It’s okay to be upset. Most of us have seen Samuel grow up since he was 9 years old. He was too young for seventeen. Didn’t get recognized in 1Punch. He got recognized now. All we can do now, is keep on supporting him in every way possible. We should not forget him when he debuts in a different group or a soloist. He have to keep raising him. He is only 16 and gone through so much. Let’s all wish for him happiness and success.
