Talking to a fellow Frankenstein fan and saying “oh yeah, Victor is definitely a morally dubious character but I’m tired of adaptations misunderstanding what aspects of him are fucked up and just turning him Evil™️ when he’s a sympathetic protagonist for the vast majority of the novel” and getting hit with “yeah he was a pathetic whiny loser of a deadbeat but the monster was Evil too :/”

A whole buncha Erik/Christine scribbles/thumbnails--hope to turn a few of these into finished pieces, but I always love loosening up with ballpoint pen to get ideas out. I think it's because you can't erase ink, so you KNOW you'll make mistakes and there's nothing you can do about it. Frees you up to just doodle (two freaks canoodling).

Yeah visually Frankenstein 2025 is gorgeous but you can’t just use cool effects and crazy gorey action scenes to make up for pooping and farting all over the original story and erasing all of its core meanings
