I started this piece to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the movie Aliens, one of my most favourite movies. This is the largest silver scratchboard piece I've ever done at 355x280mm and I'm really impressed with the final product.

I've been looking to do some art in the lead up to Pokemon Sun and Moon (and there'll probably be more) and I really like the designs of the new legendaries. So I spent a bit of time designing the two in a similar style to the current work I'm doing (a lot of time really considering) and I've ended up with this.
Designing Lunala was the easiest of the two both in terms of colour choice and overall design, and it's the one I'm happiest with. Solgaleo was the harder to design due to colour and design complexity which was annoying because I started it first (and Solgaleo is my favourite of the two).

These are a part of a set of designs I’ve done and yet to complete based on animals. When designing this I’ve tried to incorporate an aspect of randomness to the positioning of lines as well as trying to create a very stylised image. These images, and the rest of the designs, all stick to a ‘line’ motif to create a visually striking image. At the same time I’ve also had to be careful of making the image too busy and because of this I have cut out several areas of the design to create a contrast with the busy areas. I’m really happy with the overall design of these and hopefully will be able to add more down the line.

Seeing the trailer for Sun and Moon actually got me excited for Pokemon for the first time in a while, and while I like all the starters Litten is going to be my main (though I really want to see what Rowlet evolves into).

I originally did this in yellows, oranges, and reds. However I figured I'd done too much of that for a day so I did this in blue, hence the name. As well as the tails being flames I made sure the shape of the whole piece was in a flame shape (an abstract one). You can purchase this and other work I've done at Redbubble. Full colour version of a stylised phoenix design I made a little while ago. The circle part of the name refers to the three circles in the middle of the phoenix. I started the design around those and went through a couple of revisions to get the flow right. You can purchase this and other work I've done at Redbubble.
Full colour version of a design I started a little while ago. It took a bit longer than I thought it would because of what I was trying to do (drawing then lines then colour) and I'm really happy with how it turned out. You can purchase this and other work I've done at Redbubble.
Tribal Siren design in full colour. My idea for this was to continue designing mythical creatures so I figured I'd do something more humanoid than the last one (my Tribal Giffin design). Final version of a design I started a few days ago. I'm really happy with how this turned out and I learnt some new things along the way as well. You can purchase this and other work I've done at Redbubble. Done in Illustrator Design (c) Tal96 2016 Please do no use this without permission

I've started the new year with some new pokemon fanart. I had an idea of doing something like totem poles so I've done the original starters and their evolutions. I like the outcome and I'm looking forward to trying this with some other pokemon. Done in Illustrator Design (c) Tal96 2016 Please do no use this without permission
A full colour version of the Quetzalcoatl design I did recently.
