I remember first learning that you can cry from any emotion, that emotions are chemical levels in your brain and your body is constantly trying to maintain equilibrium. so if one emotion sky rockets, that chemical becomes flagged and signals the tear duct to open as an exit to release that emotion packaged neatly within a tear. Everything made sense after learning that. That sudden stability of your emotions after crying. How crying is often accompanied by the inability to feel any other emotion in that precise moment. And it is especially beautiful knowing that it is even possible to experience so much beauty or love or happiness that your body literally can’t hold on to all of it. So what I’ve learned is that crying signifies that you are feeling as much as humanely possible and that is living to the fullest extent. So keep feeling and cry often and as much as needed

Real love, true love is more than an affectionate feeling. It’s time and trial weathered togetherness. It’s being in sync when things fall to shit. It’s being there for one another whether or not you feel like it or have the time, to the best of your ability.

It’s hanging onto to something greater than yourself and greater than one another, in all things.

It moves from beyond the “why” I love this person to “I just do. I don’t need any more reason.” Real love surpasses logic and emotions, dreams and deceit.

It’s encouraging one another, when they can’t see the best side of themselves. When they have forgotten, you haven’t. Because that’s what captivated you. It’s having them do the same for you, to remind you of who you are, when you can’t see it.

It’s still saying “I love you”, “get some rest”, “we’ll figure it out tomorrow” when you are both irritated, and really meaning it.

Real love is forever, as long as forever lasts.

True love is changing and adapting, for the better part of always.

Good friends are so valuable. Even when you know you're not at your best, it's so important to have people in your life who think fondly of you and still believe you have something good in you to offer the world.
