Why did you ABANDON Paul to chase your own selfish dreams?

        Briefly, he wondered if that was how Paul felt. Like he’d abandoned him. But he frowned and sighed.”I never abandoned my brother... I raised him, I raised him from the time he was small. I traveled as a trainer and took care of him on the road. It was tight, often I went without food to make sure he would eat. He was... such a scrawny child. When I lost to our father, I knew Paul deserved better. I decided he needed a stable home environment so he wouldn’t end up like me... Reckless and without a true goal... I wanted him to be better than me...”

Well… so much for introducing them formally first. Paul isn’t actually sure how to explain himself right off the bat. So, flatly, he lets out a barely-extended, “Surprise.”
