#i didn't like this all that much when i made it #i used a random pokemon generator to challenge myself and it gave me lugia #which i never draw because i find its anatomy difficult to interpret #so it WAS a challenge (and i... cheated? let's say i made my life easier by drawing her from the neck up ahah)#but i've grown to really like it #and i don't know if i was influenced by all the nice tags and comments it got #(thank you. i read them all and screenshot them and keep them in a folder in my phone gallery)#but regardless. i really like this now. and i'm glad i made it.

i've been focusing on making finished pieces lately and i think that it's impacted both my technical skills and how much i draw in general. part of it was an attempt to get out of the "I have to study i have to improve i have to grow before expressing myself at all" mindset. but it's also that i wanted to post more often and it's made my artistic process a lot more uptight. i want to change that.

so! i want to try and post more sketches from now on. and care less about Posting as a Thing. i'd like for the art i put here to be a conversation, and so far i don't feel like it has (much).
