Abigail gave a slight nod in agreement when Tally said her mom was intimidating, not able to argue with such a statement, after all she was right. “I’ll be sure to take notes.” Abigail promised playfully at Tally’s comment as she bought them each a box of M&Ms; she had no intention to eat the ones she bought for herself, opting instead to save them for some later date with which she could surprise Tally. They found their seats in the middle of the theatre, Abigail going through the act of counting the seats to ensure they were in the middle. “This good?” She asked Tally, glancing back at her as they stood in front of two seats.
The way that she made the effort to get them the best seat in the house made Tally grin, noticing the way she even counted each seat. “Perfect,” she hummed happily as she sat down, immediately tangling her fingers in Abigail’s as the advertisements played on the large movie screen. She knew that her girlfriend was a perfectionist but it was another thing seeing it play out in such a context, it made her smile, a lot. “This is the best seat in the whole theater. You have good taste.” She opened her m&ms with the aid of her teeth, only because she didn’t want to let go of Abigail’s hand. “I’m having fun already, you know.”
wootar519:
Abigail laughed warmly at the display, taking Tally’s arm looped through hers in an equally showy manner. “Why thank you kindly.” She grinned as she laughed and pulled Tally close enough to kiss her playfully. “Don’t worry about my mom Tals, I promise there’s nothing for you to stress about.” She assured her as they walked towards the line up and stood behind the other people waiting in line. “You want to go see the cheesy rom com?” She clarified, not caring what they saw as long as Tally was happy. She just wanted them to be together.
The way that she laughed warmed her heart, as did her arm slipping through hers. She was so smitten with her, and knew that she was going to fall even more with every passing day. As the brunette warned her not to worry about her mother, she shrugged her shoulders noncommittally. “I’ll try, but she’s pretty intimidating,” Tally pointed out, though she’d thought the same of Abigail when they’d first met. As the two of them stood in line, she heard the question posed to her and shrugged her shoulders. “Sure, if you don’t mind. Maybe it’ll give you some ideas..” She teased, smiling when they made it to the front of the line. After letting Abigail ask for their tickets, Tally requested a box of M&Ms, which she hadn’t had in waaaay too long.
wootar519:
“Honestly I’ve never really been on one either, not one that mattered anyway.” She noted with a sigh and a slight laugh. “Most of the dates I’ve been on have been arranged by my mother with other High Atlantic men, you know potential husbands.” She spoke as she rolled her eyes. “They were plenty fine, some of them were very nice and most were not unattractive I just never saw the dates as anything more than a way to pass the time.” She continued as they walked closer to the theatre. “With you I don’t think any of that, I don’t see it as a pass time; I want to know you more than I do now, deeper, more intimately.” She explained with a slight blush. “I want to know all of you Tally, if you’ll let me.”
“Really?” Tally was genuinely shocked at that admission, because she’d assumed that Abigail had been on ton of dates. She never thought of the idea that they would’ve been orchestrated by her mother. For a moment her mind drifted to General Petra Bellweather and what she might think of who her daughter was spending her time with. Tally was no High Atlantic, but she wasn’t a nobody either. Hopefully she would be able to prove herself. She stopped at the door of the theater when her girlfriend (!!!) said she wanted to know all of here. She wasn’t sure she meant it in a sexual manner, but it earned a blush anyway. “I want you to know all of me, too. And me to know all of you,” she added with a grin before pulling open the door and doing a silly little bow. “After you,” Tally teased, trying to play up the chivalry like a High Atlantic man would.
wootar519:
Abigail rolled her eyes playfully at Tally’s words, squeezing her hand affectionately. “You may not be aware of this but you’re a very hard woman to say no to.” Abigail explained as they walked down the street together, Abigail really liked this, being able to be out with Tally, in regular clothes, almost as if for a moment they were normal, no military to answer to or duties to uphold.
“I might have to use that to my advantage,” she responded with a playful raise of her eyebrows, deliberately bumping Abigail’s hip with her own as they walked down the street toward the cinema, which was now in view. Tally was pretty sure this was her first real date and she wasn’t entirely sure what she was supposed to be doing differently, but Abigail wasn’t complaining. It was just nice being away from base, pretending they were just two girls on a date without a care in the world. Because right now, nothing else mattered. Tally wriggled her fingers against Abigail’s as they entered the theater. “You know, I think this is my first real date,” she whispered. “I never saw Gerit off base, except for at HIS wedding, so I guess that would make this my first.”
wootar519:
Abigail smiles at Tally’s use of the world girlfriend, not remembering a time where she felt this giddy about someone else. Even if it took nearly dying for her to get her head out of her ass, she’d risk her life for Tally again in a heartbeat if it brought them to where they are now. “You say that like I’ve ever had any power to resist that face of yours.” She teased with a smile. “Or like I didn’t buy you so much candy for Samhain that you nearly got sick.” She teased as she took her hand and lead her towards the movie cinema. “But yes babe I’ll buy you candy.” She promised.
Sometimes she wondered if she had a secondary power that made her persuasive, because it did seem to work and not just on Abigail. Though it worked better on her and she realized now how stupid she was not to realize what that meant. As Abigail mentioned Samhain, she grinned guiltily. “Only a little bit sick...” She recalled, allowing her girlfriend to pull her along, loving the way things felt so right between them. Being best friends with her first had really made their relationship all the more special. “I love you,” Tally cooed, giving Abigail’s hand a squeeze. “And not just because you give me everything that I want.” Her head was still spinning with the use of the word ‘babe,’ which was a new term of endearment and definitely made her heart flutter a lot.
wootar519:
Abigail felt relieved as Tally agreed to being her girlfriend, having put herself out on a bit of a limb when she had asked the question. “I have never been happier than when I’m with you.” Abi admitted. “I didn’t even know this kind of happiness was possible, I love you so much Tally Craven.” She spoke as she kissed her again, placing a hand on the side of her face affectionately. She would never get tired of being able to kiss Tally, so much so that she wondered why it took her so long to do so. She pulled back slowly, relishing in the sensation of being so close to Tally. “This is our stop.” She spoke, pulling back somewhat regretfully from Tally so they could make their way off the bus.
This still didn’t quite feel real to her, like she was caught up in a fantasy instead of real life. Tally really had convinced herself that Abigail didn’t feel the same way, but through everything that had happened, reality set in, and that seemed to be the kick in the ass Abigail needed to finally express her feelings. She thought it was better late than never. She had seen Abi hook up with people, but never have anything deeper with them, though Tally thought she’d come close with Adil. She pushed thoughts of Adil out of her head, because Abigail had chosen her, and none of that mattered. She made her happy, and she loved her, and just hearing the words tugged at Tally’s heartstrings. “I love you, too,” she was barely able to respond before Abigail kissed her again, paying no mind to anyone else on the bus as she expressed her affection. “Oh, right,” she laughed softly, having forgotten they needed to get off at their stop soon. She’d lost track of time and space. She gave Abigail a smile, following her off of the bus before she stole her hand again, just needing to have her close. “So, Abi, will you be buying your adorable girlfriend some candy...?” She gave her best puppy dog eyes, knowing she couldn’t resist them, even before they had officially gotten together.
wootar519:
Abigail couldn’t help the broad smile that over came her face at Tally’s minute slip up, biting her bottom lip gently before leaning forward and kissing Tally quickly. “I don’t mind if you want to call me your girlfriend.” She assured her, hoping Tally would agree. “I’d quiet like to be able to call you mine.” She admitted softly.
Maybe a bus wasn’t the most romantic place to have this conversation, but none of that mattered to Tally at all, because the way Abigail smiled when she stumbled over her words, the way she kissed her admitted she wanted to be her girlfriend? She was pretty sure this was the happiest she’d ever been. “Really?” She whispered as if she didn’t quite believe that she’d gotten so lucky. Tally tilted her head to rest it on Abigail’s shoulder, exhaling sharply. “Oh, wow,” the redhead hummed joyfully. “Yeah, I really wanna be your girlfriend,” she admitted with a grin before she turned and lifted her head to press a kiss to Abigail’s cheek. “You... make me so happy, you know.”
wootar519:
As they sat down together, Abigail kept their hands laced together, resting them on her lap as she brushed her thumb over the back of Tally’s hand. “I tend to like historical fiction, like based on true story ones, that way I don’t have to read about them.” Abigail explained before tilting her head. “Something tells me you’re more of a rom-com fan.” She noted with a slight smile. She wasn’t normally the type to watch rom-coms but she realized that she didn’t care; if that’s what Tally wanted to watch then that’s what they’d go see. Abigail just wanted to do whatever she could to make Tally happy, no matter what. Even if that meant sitting through two hours of predictable story lines and expected endings.
Every time Abigail’s thumb brushed casually against the back of her hand, it made it heart beat faster, even the way that she looked at her made her stomach do somersaults. Tally nodded in understanding at her explanation, before shrugging her shoulders with a barely hidden grin. “Well, I’m a sucker for a good love story, but I don’t care what we watch. I just want to be out with my girl- um, with you.” Her cheeks grew rosy after the words tumbled unexpectedly from her mouth, hoping Abigail didn’t mind her slip. They hadn’t had that conversation yet, and she wasn’t trying to pressure her to. She knew how Abigail felt about her, and for Tally, that was more than enough.
wootar519:
Abigail smiled warmly when Tally took her hand, glancing over her quickly. “You look really nice.” She complimented as lead her out the door, following down the hall towards the outside of their current barracks. It was a strange feeling to be holding Tally’s hand, not bad strange; but Abigail realized she had thought about this for so long, thought of being able to kiss Tally and hold her hand that being able to finally do so was bizarre almost like she didn’t know what to do with the new reality. “I figured we could go into town and maybe see a movie, plus there’s a diner my mom use to bring me to and I know how much you like diners.” She offered with a smile, hoping the options would be okay as they made it to the bus that regularly went back and fourth between the base and Salem proper.
Her cheeks flushed in response to her words. “Thank you, so do you,” she murmured, returning the compliment with a smile as Abigail guided her down the hall and outside. This was really the first time that they had been affectionate like this in public and it did make Tally a bit nervous, not because Abigail was a girl, because that didn’t matter, but because she was her unit leader and she was worried what people would think. If anyone noticed or cared, they didn’t say anything or even stare, and that in itself was a relief. “You know me so well!” She responded enthusiastically as the two of them climbed onto the bus, taking a seat next to one another. “What kind of movies do you like?”
wootar519:
Abigail nodded in agreement, slightly out of breath from the intensity of the kiss they had shared. She saw Tally’s gaze drift to the bed and smirked gently at her expression. “There will be plenty of time for that later, I promise.” She smirked before kissing Tally quickly as she finally pulled back. “Just let me get changed.” She spoke as she turned to her own closet and got out some of her civilian dress.
Tally couldn’t help but blush when she was caught glancing over at the bed and Abigail seemingly read her mind. Until a few months ago, she had been a virgin, but with Gerit she’d learned just how sensual she could be, and now she was very curious what it would be like to be with another woman. Her feelings for Abigail had grown, even since yesterday, and she knew that whenever that moment came, it would be truly special. She was in no rush, but she also couldn’t help herself, being very attracted to her didn’t help with those thoughts of hers, and now that she didn’t have to push it back, she had trouble controlling herself. “I probably should too,” Tally agreed, figuring she should pick something nicer. Besides, if she was busy getting dressed, she wouldn’t be as tempted to sneak a glance at Abigail. She grabbed an outfit of her own and changed into the civilian dress, which she had only wore a handful of times since arriving at Fort Salem back when they were in basic. Once they were both changed, Tally sought out Abigail’s hand and gave it a squeeze, more than ready for their date to begin.
wootar519:
Abigail felt the tension leave her body as Tally wrapped her arms around her, leaning into and returning the kiss for a moment. “I’m not that special Tals.” Abigail reminded for a moment, moving back just far enough so as to be able to brush hair behind Tally’s ear affectionately. “You have nothing to be nervous about, I just want to spend some time with you.” She smiled as she kissed Tally again, ensure if she would ever get use to being able to kiss her.
“Yeah, you are,” Tally argued, smiling when Abigail pushed her hair behind her ear, her fingers brushing her witches’ mark, which was probably unintentional, but made her shiver anyway. Before she could respond to the other woman, she was being kissed again, and she suddenly lost her train of thought, her fingers playing with the baby hairs on the back of Abigail’s neck. She returned the kiss with a little more heat than before, breaking it a few minutes later with red cheeks. “We should probably go, then,” she suggested, because as of now she was moments away from pulling Abigail over onto the bed so that they could make out for a while...
wootar519:
Abigail took the slightest of steps back, resting a hand against the back of her neck somewhat awkwardly as she rubbed it back and forth. “So uh, is that a yes?” Abigail asked hopefully, looking up into Tally’s eyes. “I mean if it’s a no it’s okay, if you’d rather stay here, and we haven’t really talked about things I was just-“ Abigail sigh as she dropped her hands and swallowed. “I’d just really like to take you out Tally; that’s all.” She waited anxiously for a response, wondering what Tally’s answer would be.
Tally couldn’t believe what she was hearing, the uncertainty that she never would’ve imagined coming from the confident witch in front of her. She listened to her stumble over her words, her brow furrowing more with every uncertain word. “Abigail,” her voice softened as she took Abigail’s hands in her own. “It’s a yes. I’d go anywhere with you, no questions asked.” She guided her hands to her waist before she curled her arms around Abigail’s neck and pulled her in for what was intended as a comforting kiss. “I can’t believe I’m about to go out on a date with Abigail Bellweather,” she grinned, pressing her body against Abigail’s. “I’m a little bit nervous,” the confession fell from her lips along with a soft chuckle.
wootar519:
Abigail let out a breath of relief when Tally said she was free, laughing a little when she realized she’d been thinking it over just to mess with her. “I was wondering if I could take you out, on a date. A proper one, somewhere off campus.” She requested, taking her bottom lip between her teeth as she waited for Tally to answer. Abigail wondered then if it would always feel like this, if being in the same space as Tally would always make her heart pound and make her want to kiss her and never stop. She thought back to the people she had been with, none of them had made her feel even remotely like this, she wondered if Tally felt it too. “I just, I want to do something special for you. You deserve it.”
It was kind of impossible not to tease Abigail a little, because for so long, she was impenetrable and now, everything had changed. Tally was enjoying herself, maybe a bit too much. Her eyebrows lifted when she realized Abigail was asking her on a date and she could feel her cheeks grow hot, likely very red and betraying her utter joy. Her heart raced as she looked into those warm brown eyes, losing herself in them for a moment until Abigail’s words brought her back to reality. “I could say the same about you. In case you’re forgetting, I kinda owe you my life...” Tally bit down on her lower lip, unable to hold back a grin. “I’m looking forward to repaying you for that,” she added with a playful wink. Being with Abigail was so different, so refreshing, she was reveling in it.
wootar519:
Abigail grinned as Tally brought their lips back together, her hand sliding up her neck and pulling the redhead closer before depending the kiss, pulling back after a few more minutes. “Hi.” She repeated, unable to stop herself from smiling. “Uh,” Abigail cleared her throat gently, watching her closely and trying hard not to get distracted by kissing her again. “Are you busy today?” She asked, hoping the answer was no.
Tally was pretty sure that she’d never grow tired of this, the feeling of Abigail’s lips against hers, it was something she wanted to memorize. She’d never been quite this happy, finding happiness on a whole other level than what she’d had with Gerit. The two of them weren’t even officially together yet, hadn’t had that conversation, but their relationship had grown deeper and the love was evident, not just to them, but to others, too. It was sweet the way Abigail seemed to get nervous around her. Tally had never seen her get nervous around anyone. But she’d also never seen Abigail in love, and she quite liked this side of her. When she asked if she was busy, she pretended to think it over before breaking into a grin. “Nope. I’m all yours,” she hummed before squinting curiously at the other woman. “Why? What have you got up your sleeve?”
wootar519:
Abigail groaned as she stretched out her muscles, wincing slightly as she walked back down the hallway towards the dorm she shared with Tally and Raelle. She couldn’t find it in her to care that Raelle was out with Scylla again, she didn’t exactly blame the fixer for spending time with the necro, after all as far as Abigail knew they were still trying to mend their relationship. Despite her aching, Abigail smiled when she came into the room, noticing Tally standing at her closet. “Hey you.” She grinned as she stepped toward and kissed Tally, smiling against her lips as she lifted a hand to rest on the side of her neck.
Tally had yet to find it in her to get dressed today, as it was rainy outside, and the weekend, so there was really no particular reason she needed to. She was still standing in front of the closet contemplating when Abigail entered the room. The redhead didn’t expect the greeting but certainly wasn’t complaining as she curled her arms around Abigail’s waist, returning her kiss with great enthusiasm. “Hey,” she whispered against her lips before stealing another kiss, holding her close as she reminded herself just how incredible it felt to be kissing Abigail Bellweather, the woman she loved more than anything else in the world.
wootar519:
Abigail’s furrowed her brow when Tally walked away, holding her tongue at protesting the fact that she left at all, but becoming overly grateful when Tally came back, pushing a second bed of all things, causing her to smile however tiredly. At being instructed to find a comfortable position, Abigail shifted herself, reaching out for Tally and pulling her into her arms, resting head on the pillow as her arm was placed over Tally’s waist, holding her close to her. “Is this okay?” She asked softly, already growing sleepy.
Every single smile she earned felt like a tiny victory and she’d never grow tired of the way Abigail’s nose wrinkled and her eyes grew tiny as she grinned at her affectionately. Tally couldn’t help but smile herself when Abigail pulled her into her arms, realizing she felt more at home there than she ever had anywhere. Her warmth was soothing and Tally could already feel her eyelids getting heavy, the bed much more comfortable than the seat, and having Abigail close making her feel safe and loved. “It’s perfect,” she assured her, carefully placing her head on Abigail’s chest. “You’re perfect,” she added in a reverent whisper.
