other watercolor/gouache painting ive done this year since i got this cute tiny booklet for xmas

first two were replicated from pics i found on g images but the last one i painted from life while out on a hike at zion national park (and then never finished it oop)

I've been indulging in a lot of watercolor and gouache painting this year which has been very fun!

at the beginning of the year i went on vacation with a group of friends and we wanted to do an OC card trade when we met up at our destination for fun, so my first instinct was to hand paint 8 individual custom tarot size cards of Rus (ft one normal size card as my test run) 🤪 and I DID IT

#tam art #arcturus #i was even determined to give them a fun holographic finish but it would nooooot adhere to the painted surface lmao #had to settle on a card sleeve but they don't make the holographic sleeves in tarot card size #so I had to cut out and carefully stick the holo paper to each individual card sleeve #the janky ass setup I had to configure to make that happen without trapping air bubbles between the sleeve and holo sticker let me tell u #it was worth it all in the end

i finally managed to paint something substantial after 500 years and to absolutely no one's surprise it's some kind of Horse

it dawned on me that i never posted any art at all here last year and that made me sad. art block really got me bad, but i can always fall back on sketching my number one sad lad in various forms

i made a new oc to try joining an rp group set tentatively in the late 1800's, and he was gonna be a watchmaker

then at some point someone asked a group-wide question about what kind of dog breed your oc would be and i chose a silken windhound for him, then i couldn't resist the urge to draw him as a dog

#admittedly he is so much more fun to draw as a dog than a human help
