Yua didn’t need the spirits of the earth to tell her that the boy was certainly not fine. It wasn’t everyday that she ran into random injured strangers on the road, but Yua figured that this would be common the more she explored the lands beyond her own. Life in her palace was much more sheltered than this. She was only sorry that she wasn’t gifted with healing powers like her cousin, Xing.
“You are not fine, stranger.” she said, her accent told the other that she wasn’t from around here, if her clothes and looks didn’t say that already. “Blood coming from the head is not a good sign. If you do not get treated, it could get worse.”
Reaching into the pouch at her side, Yua pulled out some bandages and some strange smelling herbs that had been crushed up and stuffed into a vial. “You are too young to be brushing off wounds like that.” She continued, looking down at the boy. “These are med...medi...cines...” She paused, grumbling in another language, “...From my people’s healers. They will help with your wounds.”
