Construction and light leaks. I'm looking at things differently lately and shooting personal stuff on film. It's helping me truly figure out what I want to shoot and why I want to. Rushing through life is my defeat and this slows me down in such a peaceful way.

I've fallen in love with shooting film - Canon TX Ektar 100

Along we go.

We drove through a road North of Crested Butte, Colorado and didn't see a soul except for the wonderful wildlife.

This quiet forest was one of the most peaceful places I've ever experienced. We walked up the stream and found the perfect place to just sit and be. I desire a life in the mountains. One day... One day...

You turn my storms into the most peaceful clear skies. I love you, Ashli.

Into the wilderness.

Woke up near the lake and decided to walk through some of the nearby woods. Couldn't have been happier with the light.

Before the last light of the day set, we got a glimpse of life in the mountains of Colorado. This was followed by the coldest night of my life by far as it reached temperatures that even a 0 degree rated sleeping bag couldn't warm. I'd do it again in a heartbeat just to see it all again.

Its always nice to see a sliver of a mountain revealed from the clouds. I started to try and see a little differently this time around Colorado and look for things I normally wouldn't. It ended up being a lot more fun than I was used to.

Out of the cave.

Sam and I climbed up near this waterfall outside Ouray and found this small cave. We sat up here for a while and enjoyed the ambient sounds.

Day in the mountains. Came through here last winter when everything was covered in snow and it's great to be able to go off the trail without falling in chest high snow!
