“ Ah, hey, Mikado.  I’m okay, I just had a really busy day at work… ”

> Adachi pats your head before he bends down to untie his shoes and set them aside. > He looks as exhausted as he sounds …

“ The head chief of the department is running us ragged, and Doujima - san is getting stressed out about it.  So he’s been on my – … ”

> He hesitates a moment.

“ On my back a lot more than usual.  I mean, I understand, but it’s draining me.  It’s okay, I’m off tomorrow …  Even if they try to call me in, I told them I won’t be available to come in.  I remember promising you a trip to the park, huh … ? ”

> Adachi manages a smile. > You can sense his care for you. ♪

          Giving a low hum under his breath, Adachi shuts off the TV, and scoots himself off of the couch to sit down on the floor next to the table instead.  “ Having some trouble?  I used to, too, actually.  Believe that?  Haha! ”

 “English... it’s hard and Kida-kun seems to pick it up really easily, ”

Mikado let out a defeated sigh before looking at his dad curiously, “even you had trouble with english?” he asked, he couldn’t imagine his dad struggling like he was right at that moment. He tried to imagine his old man struggling at all. All he could imagine was his goofy and awkward dad laughing it off like no big deal. Boy was this image an ordeal to imagine up. “It’s hard to imagine you ever struggling over homework,”

Mikado chewed his lip in frustration. English wasn’t his specialty in any way and this was escaping him.Well, that was what the advanced classes were for in the first place. But why commas, commas made less sense than English structure in the first place. It was all kind of a muddle to him and he was pretty close to giving up.  “How do you do it Kida-kun,“ Mikado muttered under his breath.

It was kind of a big surprise to be suddenly picked up and Mikado let out a small noise of protest. "w-- hey! a-ah umm...." was all he could get out.
