The Essence of Black turned 4 today!

My heart hurts for the young girl I used to be, especially when I think of all the unnecessary anxiety she went through. Given the opportunity, I'd go back in time & share these lessons I wish someone had told her. Your Mother honestly & truly knows better. She's not here to torment you. She loves you more than you can fathom & always remember that she's on your side. Listen to the voice in your head & that feeling inside for when you're in doubt about anything, take time out, go to a quiet place & be still. Clarity on most issues comes from the inside. There are never "random" events in your life as everything,whether good or bad, is an opportunity for you to learn Ask yourself "Why is this happening? What can I learn from this?" With this attitude you'll always feel empowered. Stop being so harsh on yourself. You're not as awkward/ugly/stupid as you, or others think. Go to the mirror & look at that girl. You must decide from now to be her best friend Be gentle & kind to her. Treat her well. And most importantly, protect her from this cruel and crazy world
