I am seeking a donation from you for an important social project – a minimum of Rs. 400/- or beyond that as per your choice.

From time immemorial the human being has tried to find the meaning of his life. Buddha said ‘do not believe me, find your own answer’. Perhaps, it is not the answer, but the process of searching for the answer in a conducive environment that is crucial, as it places one in deep contact with oneself.

Members of Humanist Movement are building such conducive environments called Parks of Study and Reflection in various parts of the world for people to work on their inner selves.

We are building one such Park in Kandhroli, a place 85 kms away from Mumbai. We have already acquired a 3 acre plot. Some construction has already been done to make the Park functional. Next we have plans for a meditation hall, a residential block and a meeting hall. Attached is a photo report of the project.

This will be a people’s park and as such it is important that maximum people contribute in building it as their own park. We are in the final stages of the construction and it is estimated that we will need around 20,000 bags of cement. We are raising donations in terms of numbers of bags – minimum 1 bag from each donor.

1 bag = Rs. 400

11 bags = Rs. 4,400

21 bags = Rs. 8,400

51 bags = Rs. 20,400, and so on.

The Parks of Study and Reflection

Welcome to he Parks of Study and Reflection – the place to work on deep internal studies – open to all without any discrimination – on a 3 acre plot at Kandhroli, near Mumbai.

You enter the park through the gate – a boundary separating two spaces : space of external noise with space of internal silence. The space of daily life and that of seclusion and reflection.

Next you approach the Monolith – The kind of architectural structure that we find down the history in all parts of the world. In other times such connectives between “heaven” and “earth” were sometimes referred to as ‘axis’ of the world

Then you move to the Fountain – In all creation myths, water is the source of life, with its infinite attributes of nourishing, giving

life, purifying etc. That is why in ancient civilisation water is the symbol of sacred. In ancient India “linga” was a column of fire that joined the heavens and the earth dividing them and bringing them together at the same time.

On 4th May 2019, we did the ground-breaking ceremony of the meditation hall. The proposed structure to be built like the great Stupa, will be hemispherical and touch the sky with the tip of their cupola. Within this structure, all people, believer or non-believer, can feel at home and focus on their internal world.

Symphony is a low-cost hearing device designed to assist with common hearing loss problems.

Hello everyone! This is not a studyblr related post, but nonetheless, it’s something important. My brother-in-law is the head of a team developing a revolutionary type of hearing technology at a fraction of the cost of typical hearing aids. When I say a fraction, I literally mean 1% of the cost of typical hearing aids on the market. That means that people who can’t afford to drop thousands of dollars on a hearing device will be able to receive the gift of hearing! Furthermore, AVO plans to open source their technology once completed, which means they don’t plan to monopolize on this kind of technology and allows others to improve it!

“Symphony is a low-cost hearing device created by Ampere Volt Ohm LLC (AVO). Started as a passion project by one of AVO’s engineers, Symphony grew into a device capable of helping millions. Symphony’s design is based on three criteria: reduced cost, simplicity, and adaptability. AVO’s focus created a simple, inexpensive device which restores common ranges of hearing loss.

Medical hearing-aids are small, expensive devices which are rarely covered by health insurance. With product costs ranging from $900 to $5000, the devices are a luxury few can afford. Symphony’s price is $50, far below that of its competition. At this price, there are no market products which compare to Symphony’s functionality. In addition, AVO is offering the first 60 pledges a Symphony at 50% of its normal value. Symphony is available in three models. Each model targets a specific rage of hearing-loss; low, mid, and high frequency.

Interfacing with Symphony is simple. Headphones attach to a standard audio jack. A switch controls power and volume is adjusted by a screw terminal. Symphony’s electronics and batteries are housed in an ABS plastic case. The case is resistant movement, impact, and environmental effects.”
