Samira looks over and grabs the tiny mic in her hand. "I thought I might record you." Her hand extends towards the glass, but she quickly retracts it when a slight shriek meets her ears, the woman's eyes falling to her hand as she flinches back. "It's okay." Samira placates. "No, no, it's alright. It's just a microphone, see." She brings up her other hand to tap on the top before bringing it closer to her mouth and talking into it. "It just works like this, right? I figured we could start with-" She cuts herself off and reaches for the clock beside her, turning it to face the woman and pointing to the number one. "I thought we might be able to start with 'one.'" She points again, and is met with a short, succinct note. "Oh- wait, sorry-" She fumbles a bit for the mic, holding it out again before pressing record. "Okay," she nods, "Go ahead." The same short note greets her ears, and then she's typing in the word 'one' and inputting their first translation. A wide, satisfied smile graces her lips before her hands come up and clap together just once. "Alright!" She laughs, well and truly optimistic now. "One!" Her smile just grows wider when she's met with a couple of happy chitters in response, and then she picks up the microphone again before pointing to the number two.
