I know many people hate the concept of Eddie and Reader living together where they have kids or treat the kids like their children
BUT I DON'T CARE,I LOVE IT.
You've known Eddie since your first year together, you started dating at the end of first year and since then you've been inseparable (literally)
Basically you lived with him and his uncle, you had your own house of course but you only went when you needed specific things, as the years went by your room was almost completely empty
While Eddie's room had more and more stuff every day
You were basically husband and wife now
You had never thought about having kids, Eddie was repeating his last year for the third time and you worked at the beauty salon in town, you were still living with your uncle even though you could buy a house for both of you.
It wasn't until Eddie adopted some new kids that you really started to question yourself.
Did you want kids with Eddie?
You loved him a lot, you both had a little plan about getting married as soon as he graduated, but starting a family was something different and more serious, you were almost married which wouldn't be much different from your day to day life, the only difference would be a ring on your finger.
But a baby in your belly, it was terrifying.
His new friends from freshman year weren't babies but seeing Eddie being an authority figure for those kids, shit, baby fever had hit you.
But unbeknownst to you it hadn't only hit you, a certain metalhead had been infected.
You were so domestic always taking care of him and his uncle, he never knew how you did it but you always had dinner ready even though you only left thirty minutes before him from work.
The trailer was always clean, you took one or two days a week to clean his room.
You did all that work and still had time to spoil your redhead neighbor, Max Mayfield had earned a place in both of your hearts.
The boys had told Eddie everything Max had suffered, the death of her brother, her stepfather abandoning her mother and her leaving them homeless and penniless, the little money her mother earned she spent on alcohol
Eddie understood her situation very well
When Eddie told you all that you couldn't avoid it but feel a great feeling of having to help her
One day you were watering the few plants in the yard when you saw her sitting on the stairs of her trailer.
“Hey Max!” You greeted her with a smile, you motioned for her to come closer and she, a little confused, obeyed you
“Have you had breakfast yet?”
A little embarrassed, she avoided your gaze as she answered with a simple “no”
“Do you want to come in and make pancakes? Eddie is still asleep and I don’t like eating breakfast alone”
Both of you had cooked breakfast that morning, you told her a little about yourself since the only thing she knew about you was that you were Eddie’s girlfriend.
Eddie had woken up to the sound of laughter in the kitchen, he smile as watch them laugh with their mouths full of pancakes
After that day you basically adopted Max, she would go to have breakfast with you and then go with Eddie to school, when she arrived she would immediately enter your trailer (only after having greeted his mom), sometimes she would help you prepare dinner if it wasn’t ready yet, other times preferred to throw himself on the couch with Eddie.
At night you would ask her what she wanted for lunch tomorrow and then you accompany her to her trailer
You loved Max very much and she loved them both too (but she was too rude to admit it)
