just a girl and her weird pet

Based on some early sketches from 2022 of a little griffin-like creature but instead of an eagle and a lion it's an owl and a cat lol. The original name of the griffin was tawny (hence the username) but as I've started to create a story based around these two characters, i've found that it doesn't quite fit anymore! Any ideas are welcome ofc! (I am very bad at names)

Redesign of my oc again, cause I still haven't fully committed to a single design lol

I wanted to a. go for something more stylised as i think a more realistic style limits me into producing more stiff artworks rather than something more loose and fun. And b. Have a reference sheet for future artworks, as I always struggle with making her look the same from different angles! This isn't perfect either, but it's good enough for me to be happy with it and start drawing her more in different poses!

I don't normally go for 'non-natural' colours, but I used gradient mapping and liked the kind of surreal effect it gave this piece!

idk if anyone else gets this, but there are so many bots asking for commissions like literal seconds after posting art, and I'm assuming they are bots because they don't follow me and don't like any of my posts.

But I feel like it's something that will

A. be bad for artists who are only just getting their first commission and aren't aware of scams

B. be bad for actual people who may want to commission an artist and may come across like a bot and get ignored

Anyway, if you want a commission, probably follow said artist and DM them personally rather than ask them to contact you, or they'll think you're a bot :P
