Portfolio/Demo Reel Guidelines and Questions
So you’re here about the guidelines, eh kid?
Do I need a portfolio?
You need something along those lines, we accept your social media as a form as a portfolio as long as the posts fit the guidelines. But yes, you do need to submit something.
Where do we submit them?
The google form baby! If you can’t or have a problem with uploading or linking us something, email us at [email protected] with the subject line being: “PORTFOLIO SUBMISSION” or “DEMO REEL SUBMISSION” in the email please tell us who you are (the same info you told us on the google form) so we can identify who you are.
What should I include?
You are allowed to include anything you like! But if possible, please use the same type of work you will be using for this project. For example: If you are a 2D animator, please include as much of 2D animation as possible. If you want to do live action, please include as much live action as possible.

What’s a reanimated collab?
Well! I’m so glad you asked valued ask-e! It’s quite simple really! It’s when a buncha animators/artists (and others) come together to reanimated an episode scene by scene which will eventually become a whole episode! How cool is that?!
Cool! But what exactly are we animating?
For this project, we will be reanimating Season 2, Episode 35 of The Amazing World of Gumball: “The Tape”! If you don’t know the episode, (which I doubt you do, it is one of the most well known episodes) the synopsis is pretty self explanatory: “Gumball and Darwin fail to make some instant homemade movie classics.” It’s a very fun episode that I think people will have a lot of fun and creative freedom with!
Cool! But I’m not an animator! :( How can I participate?
No problem homeslice, we gottchu! Their are other positions open other than animators! Such as Mods, Illustrators, musicians, and miscellaneous (live action, filming, etc.)
This is awesome! How do I sign up?
You can sign up by filling out the google form that’s been posted on all of our social medias. It should be easy to find. Just make sure to fill it out no later than 12:00 pm on 6/15!
AHHHHH! IT’S TOO LATE! I COULDN’T SIGN UP IN TIME!
Do not fret my sweet. If we don’t have enough participates by 6/15, we will be holding a second round of applications! And if you missed that one too, you can always participate in a future reanimated episode (if there is one)!
How will I know if I’ve gotten chosen or not?
We will contact you through email or social media (only if you don’t have an email) and let you know whether your application was accepted or not.
