'Tasavvur’ is an Urdu word for imagination. This one word has such power that it is keeping beauty alive. Imagination is free from boundaries and shackles. @nasheet_shadani named his design Tasavvur for #Taxifabric
"One can hide his drawing in the sketchbook but how can one hide an Auto Rickshaw that would be roaming freely in the streets of Delhi!? “ @nasheet_shadani from Wieden +Kennedy Delhi for #Taxifabric In other news, Taxi Fabric was featured on a national TV while it was displayed at 'Pratibha' art fair ( @peareylalbhavan ). Cheers.
"Artists get the right amount of freedom; it is well structured and has a very transparent eco-system. I am really happy to be part of this, this is a fantastic opportunity to get the work out of the computer screens to the streets and give it back to public in the most unexpected place." @nasheet_shadani for #Taxifabric Photograph by @sanketavlani
"We, Indian society, have more interest in words and phrases than in the visual culture. Design in India is away from public. To most people design is about colorful patterns and a rainbow. It won’t be wrong to say that good design is not part of our life yet. " @nasheet_shadani for #Taxifabric Photograph by @sanketavlani and Magic by @nasheet_shadani

"Every time I looked at it I noticed something is missing. After hundred rounds of redrawing and recoloring, strokes on strokes, layers on layers, finally when the monument started looking back at me instead of me looking at it, I realized now it has a life of its own. " @nasheet_shadani for #Taxifabric Photograph by @that_sidartguy
"The past can meet the present and a night can be more colourful than a day. Colours, strokes and textures can merge to create a vivid spectacle. It lets you play God and create new worlds, new beings and mirages." @nasheet_shadani for #Taxifabric Photograph by @that_sidartguy (at New Delhi, India)

Introducing the starry night behind Humayun's Tomb from our first Taxi Fabric Delhi auto starring @nasheet_shadani for #Taxifabric He says, "My approach towards this was of a painter not that of a designer. I realized in the first few attempts that the first auto in the city of djinns should be magical and should instantly connect with the people of Delhi." We hope it does. Bringing Taxi Fabric to Delhi was an ambitious move and it couldn't have been possible without the help and support of these people - @manasfoundationdelhi which conducts gender sensitive training for rickshaw drivers in Delhi. @rashikasood - Who is our Delhi SPOC and will be running our Delhi chapter. ( She might need some hands to help her so if interested please drop a line at [email protected] regarding helping us out in Delhi) All our vendors for being so supportive. Mr. Hari Om ji (rickshaw driver) for being so patient with us. (at Humayun's Tomb)
Taxi fabric has completed a year! We are overwhelmed by the love and support that we have received from all over the world. Its time to move forward to new places with new stories, starting with New Delhi. Coming soon. Watch this space for more @nasheet_shadani for #Taxifabric (at New Dehli karol bhag)
Khyati was excited by the canvas in front of her. "I felt like I had the responsibility to do justice to the context of Mumbai" @khyatitrehan for #Taxifabric Photograph by @appurvashah
“My mother was born and brought up in Mumbai. One of the things she spoke really fondly of was her daily commute by the double decker bus,” she smiles. “The thrill of sitting on the upper deck, especially the front row that offers a near birds-eye view of the city, was indescribable!” @khyatitrehan for #Taxifabric Photograph by Appurva Shah
"Mr. Vasudev Yadav found the fact that the bus's engine is separate, very fascinating! I also kept in mind that his favourite colour is light blue,” she says." @khyatitrehan for #Taxifabric Photograph by @that_sidartguy
The Flight of the Titan, beautifully captures the dream-like experience of sitting on the upper deck. The wind gushing in through the windows is bound to bring back fond memories with it. @khyatitrehan for #Taxifabric Photograph by @that_sidartguy
