I’m currently watching Natural Born Killers for the first time, and suddenly, it hits me — the 1989 World Tour film was trying to tap into this exact kind of chaotic, psychotic editing energy. You know, that rapid-fire montage, the jarring cuts, the surreal, larger-than-life vibe where reality blends with something a little darker. Natural Born Killers goes all in on that chaotic aesthetic, and now I can’t unsee how the 1989 Tour movie had moments where it was trying to emulate that same visual madness, the kind that keeps you on edge but also makes you feel like you’re part of something wild and untamed.

It’s like Taylor’s team wanted to craft this high-energy, sensory overload experience, something not quite as visceral as Natural Born Killers (because obviously, different vibes), but still, there’s this parallel. Both have this underlying commentary on fame, media, and how everything becomes a spectacle.
