So I’m making my streetpass team ready for the convention i’m going to, because I don’t doubt I’ll find at least two people who wish to battle (that and my relative will probably play wireless with me) so I’m choosing who and what skills to use. This is what I have so far, if anyone doesn’t mind, could you try giving me pointers? Or am I good as is?

my tips:

step 1: get ALL your units' hp to 80. this shouldn't even be debatable.

step 2: unit-specific skills training:

your MU: i'd recommend dropping slow burn for astra

henry: seems fine as is, although if you want to drop slow burn for counter that might be a good idea. user's choice, though

stahl: drop discipline for astra. probably also drop outdoor fighter too, because it's a map-dependent skill. a good pickup would be luna

lon'qu: seems ok. a good trick might be dropping avoid +10 for lancebreaker to shore up his lance weakness

sully: drop discipline, outdoor fighter, and dual guard+. pick up astra, lancebreaker, and swordbreaker.

morgan: seems ok. might want to drop solidarity in favor of swordfaire.

libra: drop healtouch if you're keeping him as a dark knight. drop miracle. pick up lifetaker and either vengeance or tomebreaker.

nowi: pick up lifetaker, swordbreaker, and lancebreaker.

nah: drop rally luck and pick up lifetaker, swordbreaker, and lancebreaker.

gerome: drop all four of his skills and pick up sol, counter, axebreaker, lancebreaker, and swordbreaker.

step 3: start thinking about dropping most of your first-gen units in favor of second-gen.

only casual players think he’s a good unit. most people agree that he’s a pretty mediocre unit with horrible caps and makes a pretty bad father for most 2nd gen units.

yeah, his stats are almost exactly average, the only place he's well above average is luck and that's only useful for weapon conservation using armsthrift

i can't remember his modifiers off the top of my head but i remember them not being very good

I wonder how the game would have changed if the writers had noticed/had the guts to display exactly how monumentally stupid at least 90% percent of Chrom’s decisions were.

How much ready advice he neglected or refused to accept.

How many ridiculously short-sighted decisions he made.

How much he utterly failed to uphold the very values he said were imperative to uphold.

I think it would be fantastic if the next game featured him as the villain or the keystone that starts the next issue—given what all we go through in this game. But I doubt that will happen. (a prequel would be interesting too, but ten bucks says that easily devolves into shipping parents of this gen, regardless of how [un]likely it is they all get involved)

Regardless, I think he’ll wear the Pants On Head award for Lord Stupidity for a long time to come.

a) i'd suggest playing w/ sound off unless it's a full cutscene, like smoothly animated and everything, you know the kind i'm talking about (i agree with you, the "uh?" "yes." "what?!?" during normal cutscenes sounds really fuckin weird)

b) the feet are a choice intelligent systems made b/c they didn't want to hear complaints about feet clipping through things so they just removed em

c) idk, that's up to you to decide

I support the crack pairing of Virion and Libra. Not that I can't see them with women (I personally enjoy Virion with Cherche, and Libra with Olivia) but with the way their support conversation goes, I find it hard NOT to make a crack pairing for them. Is that bad?
