Hey! Returning Eddsworld fan, here. (Got into it shortly after They End’ released in 2016, lost interest like a year later, came back X-Mas 2018, left, and now I’m back.) So, I’ve known about TBATF since I’ve been in the fandom, but never really got into it. Now, I’m seeing all this discourse? And drama? I watched a video by Skylar Wokfiee(?), which pretty much explained it, but I think I’m missing a few details. I primarily know that Matt was originally going to start a brand deal with (1/?)

Ive lost all respect for anybody who is on the official eddsworld team. They’ve completely ignored all the bull shit Jax has pulled and in fact is doubling down on supporting her. Not to mention the accounts have just become bland and have no fucking personality whats so ever. I dont think I’ll leave the fandom but ive lost faith in anything offical and fear for the future of the show.

I’ll be 100% with you chief. I only started watching Eddsworld mid-2016. I was the typical fan who ended up watching ‘The End’ first, b/c stupid 16 year old me thought: ough, this looks newer! So i watched all of Legacy before even going into pre-legacy. And to be totally honest with you? Pre-legacy is better than anything thay came after it. No disrespect to Tomska and all those who animated Legacy episodes, but there’s something about pre-legacy that hits so close to home, y’know..? Maybe it’s the nostalgia, or the simplicity of the toons Edd created. And seeing the people we trusted with our beloved webtoon take on people who are clearly not good. Well, it breaks my heart… I’ve come to know so many friends in this community and people who got me through some pretty rough times. Eddsworld is just so important to me… Which is why I think we as a community should stay close knit and show our love and appreciation. Not for anyone on the crew. But for Edd, and in his memory…!Anyways, I didn’t plan for this to turn into an essay… Sorry for rambling!

I'm a bit confused, but, I saw a very recent post on the official Eddsworld FB page calling Jax a friend of the show. Didn't she call Matt a "nosey fucker" (it could've been a different tbatf member, I can't remember) and tell a minor to jump off of a building? Did she apologize to them (to both Matt and the 14 yr old)??? Or are they just ignoring the fact that she did that.

@ that anon asking if there a bad person. The problem with tbatfs designs for woman is that its most of the woman with very few who are diffrent and tthat they dont have much personality, if you draw more woman in a more ‘sexual’ way while it can still be problematic if you can actually give them a proper personality (that makes them different and gives them flaws) then id say it doesn’t automatically make you a bad person. (Ive probably gotten things wrong here so sorry if so)

it's not bad to draw them a certain way just for fun because it's more entertaining to you, however, if you deem that's the only way a woman could look attractive or just start getting really bigoty towards it, then there's the problem. tbatf is CLEARLY only drawing their women like that to sexualize it, as tord literally gets flirty and touchy with them in the comics. it's not for fun, it's for their twisted way on how a woman should look in order to be attractive, which is sick.

I don't know why but the fact that the EWFM crew (and Jon) are "defending" the TBATF crew pisses me off for some reason. There's so much proof and fact and yet they are choosing to ignore it cuz ?? It's that stereotypical thing of "teenages" trying to callout an adult on their bullsh*t but all the other adults are just saying: "__ they would never do that. You're just a child, you don't know anything about __, you're not an adult like us." This is stupid. It should just be over and done with. -X

We can't do anything at this point to change their mind. They became friends with jax and are just defending their friend to the bitter end 🤷‍♂️. Don't harass them though.
