REPUTABLEHQS is a new, skeleton roleplay focused on writing and character development, with influences from the Gossip Girl and Pretty Little Liars verses. Our roleplay will be character, event, and task-driven, with surprises and plot drops thrown in to keep our plot interesting. All muses had some sort of relationship with a girl named Stella Maddox, who disappeared after graduating from college in 2016. One year later, texts and emails are sent to the characters from her contact information, threatening to ruin their different reputations if they fail to complete her tasks. Each of the muses has been given a unique, abstract nickname, one that Stella herself created for them, which will serve as the basis for each skeleton.

Tate had figured that the crowds of Bed, Bath, and Beyond were SAFE enough far out of the regular teenaged-girl crowds that sometimes flocked limos or hotels he was staying at – frankly, he just wanted to re-stock up on candles for his apartment ( the earthquake had done a fair bit of damage, and all he wanted was something that he could look forward to doing for the apartment ). Of course, the shelves of fluffy towels had brought his inner-child out, his fingers running down the aisle touching the soft cloth. His eyes, which had been fixated on his basket full of multi-colored, multi-scented candles and the SOFTNESS of the towels, flickered to Isla, who had been so kind to accompany him on his trip to improve his home, upon the unfortunate familiar sound of whispers. “Shit, they’re onto me,” he whispered to her, grabbing her forearm as he began to PANIC slightly. “What should we do? I mean, I’m not ashamed of my ‘Clean Cotton’ Yankee Candles, but I don’t want to disturb the peace. This place is so relaxing, god. I love it here.” His voice and words were contradictory, his tone clearly peeved. Of course, he LOVED all his fans to bits, but couldn’t a guy just buy his candles in peace?

ESMERALDA.

The day was going by too slowly for Ezzie’s liking. She had things to do but of course she wasn’t in the mood to do anything that actually required real work. Being around the studio reminded her of the work she had to do and she didn’t want to be constantly reminded. She glanced over to the person closest to her. “I think I’m gonna avoid all responsibilities today and go shopping. Care to join me? You don’t have to actually fall into the trap and spend money but company doesn’t hurt. Unless you’re one of those annoying shoppers.”

Tate raised an eyebrow – skipping out on rehearsal wasn’t really his kind of THING, but honestly, anything would beat going over lines and songs that he had already memorized weeks in advance ( of course, it was his mother who had conditioned him to always be over-prepared at rehearsal ). “Not really sure what classifies as an ‘ANNOYING shopper’; if I’m a guy who spends a minute walking into a store and points at something he likes, buys it, and leaves – what kind of shopper does that make me?”

DEREK.

Hands shoved deep into his pockets, Derek glanced next to him, the ghost of a smile on his lips.  “You okay?  I mean–you know, divulge as much as you want, or as little.  Y’just seemed a little quiet, that’s all.” He wasn’t always that observant, but depending on the person, Derek was fairly good at picking up how other people felt, doing so without judgement of course. Sometimes, though, the silence kind of freaked him out–and even if now was one of those times, he wasn’t about to be openly rude if the other person actually needed to vent. 

It had taken Tate a moment to REGISTER that there was someone beside him, someone interested in his well being. His eyelids flickered up and down, as if he were awakening from a nap or a deep sleep, his hand reaching up to rub his eyes before glancing at his newfound company. “What? Y-Yeah, yeah, everything’s fine,” he lied, his voice creaking as he tried to put on a STRONG front, as he always did. Being born a kid in Hollywood, appearances were everything–or at least, that was what he was always taught. “I guess I don’t really have much to say. Or … I don’t know how to say it in words. Fucking sucks, doesn’t it?”

RILEY.

“ the benefits of having your parents live on the OPPOSITE side of the country ; if it weren’t a five hour long phone call they settled for, they would’ve flown over right away, ” were the words falling from the brunette’s lips in something that VAGUELY seemed like a sigh. perhaps the weariness was getting to her at this point, the constant worry about everyone around her, her BROTHER, or what the hell was happening anyway, in combination with the lack of sleep … it didn’t promise to be a perfect combination. it was a pure FIGHT getting through the days at this point. “ just alright, mhm ? i guess i have to settle for that, considering circumstances. ” following his next question, the brunette MERELY nodded faintly, just simply offering him to take the seat — by now it seemed that her brother actually showing soon seemed UNLIKELY, and honestly ? her company could be worse.

A small smile appeared on his lips; despite the DISCORD he typically had with his parents, he still loved them to no end. They gave him a lifestyle that kids dreamed of having, and for that he was always thankful – but he couldn’t help but feel jealous of all the kids who got to do NORMAL things growing up, like playing board games with their parents, going to parks, to the mall, hell even going to school. “My parents live a half-hour from here, but I think they prefer Facetime. Something about avoiding L.A. traffic” he chuckled, his eyes averting to his coffee. “Yeah, I guess there’s not one word that really encompasses how grateful I am to not have a cast on my leg or have a concussion, but also includes the nerves and stress I’m feeling for my friends that do,” he said, his voice almost SAD in nature. Tate’s friends were some of the only reasons keeping him really tied to the industry – if it weren’t for them, he’d probably be going head-first into med school any day. He took her nod as a ‘yes’, a cautious one, so he was too, slowly pulling out the chair and was sure not to intrude into her personal space. “So, you been out here long enough to experience an earthquake like THAT before?” Tate inquired, wanting to get to know the beautiful blue-eyed girl without trying to pry or sound desperate, or make her feel uncomfortable. That was the last thing he wanted to do.

ROSIE.

Rosie once again hugged him tightly once again, a small laugh escaping her lips. “You’ll have to get used to it again then.” she said as the two finally began their walk towards the hospital. Looking up at him, she offered a smile. “Yeah, I’m glad to have you back too.” not spending time with Tate wasn’t something she wasn’t used to, and something she didn’t want to have to do again. even though she was the one that avoided him. “I missed having you around.” pursing her lips, she spoke with a smile on her lips. “I think I’d rather come looking for you. — Hmm, I’m sure you could pull it off, though. I can already imagine it, you’d look fantastic.” 

“Gladly,” he responded simply, throwing an arm over his friend’s shoulder as he pulled her in close, the pair still heading toward the hospital. “What ever happened to us, Rosie?” He asked softly, his voice tending toward a more somber tone than the one he had adopted earlier. Tate was serious – although he had his reservations about their relationship, he knew their friendship was not one he wanted to throw away due to one drunken encounter. “It used to be so EASY. Now we’re literally walking through a ghost town heading to a hospital, not knowing what our future has in store for us. It’s … kinda scary.” Tate didn’t exactly like the unknown when it came to serious things like this. “For me? I’m a grown-ass man, now, Rosie,” he said with conviction, though he wasn’t opposed to her proposition. “Scruff? On me? Okay, I know I just said I was a grown-ass man, but I’m not sure it’d fit the whole Treblemakers VIBE, you know?”

ZOEY.

     ZOEY pulled the ends of her ponytail to tighten it against her head, a sheen of sweat already coating her skin. with a bunch of the other treble makers cast out with earthquake-induced injuries, the few who were left were being worked to the bone to compensate. one of the soundstages had been set up into a dance studio for them, but without the mirrors it was like dancing in the dark. she sighed and let her hands fall to her hips as she listened to the choreographer. the crew moved desks into place behind them to create a quasi-classroom, and zoey knew it was time for her big dance number for the pilot, where rory finally ‘rebelled’. she tensed up when the choreographer got to the big finale of the number: rory walking across the desks and then falling into zane’s arms. zoey peeked over at tate a few people down, trying to downplay the fear that was probably written on her face.

Focused eyes and deep breaths kept Tate in lock with the movements of the choreographer – clearly, Kit’s little training sessions had done wonders for him, for the actor found that he was keeping up decently well ( or, as well as one could with thoughts of earthquake trauma plaguing the back of his mind ). When it came to stunts, Tate had to take a bit of time, taking one-on-one moments with the choreographers to go through each and every movement of his arms, for more often than not, he was RESPONSIBLE for catching or throwing or spinning someone – the last thing he wanted to do was drop someone. He found himself nodding a lot, wanting to really make sure he had every move down to the frame, especially this last section of the scene, wherein Zoey would fall into his arms after a big dance number. Tate glanced over at her, their eyes locking momentarily as he cocked his head playfully. “You okay? WORRIED I’m not going to catch you?” He called, moving into place as he prepared for their stunt.

LYDIA.

“Oh right, I love their unsolved series. I don’t know but I like learning about conspiracy theories and hauntings and shit like that. And of course I’d go, I might even drag you onto the Haunted Mansion.”

“Y’know, everyone keeps telling me to watch that; I’ve even been told that I’m like one of the guys on there, but I’ve never seen it. I’ll have to check it out soon, maybe in the next couple of days since it doesn’t seem like we’re doing much. Haunted Mansion?” He paused; frankly, Tate was EASILY scared, but he wanted to keep that information under wraps as much as he could. “A-Alright, alright.”

EVA.

“I mean, seeing you hit people is quite entertaining.” She teased. “But at least you’re learning, it’s quite cute. And well it started with just me being on the show but it kind of grew from that and then turned into something else.” She explained. “Now I can’t just stop. I feel like everything I feel needs to be written down and sang.”

“Maybe I’ll be lucky enough to manage it once or twice to keep things interesting on set. There’s gotta be something on the gag reel, RIGHT?” Tate laughed, the horrifying image of him slapping someone across the chest and having them fall and destroy part of the set plaguing his mind. “Cute? Why, thank you, though I’m not sure how cute it’ll be with me messing up every other take. That’s uh … that’s really cool,” he said, not really sure of how to respond. He hadn’t really felt that kind of PASSION with anything, not yet at least. “So you write your own music?”
