I had to stop by the bookstore on campus earlier this week and didn't realize how much I missed commuting. It was so weird being there while there were minimal classes - it was almost a ghost town save for all the construction work going on, but at least they're doing it while there's fewer people on campus

I suppose the nice thing about being away from class for a while is the opportunity to visit some quality coffee spots nearby

Being away from university has given me the much needed opportunity to finally catch up on some reading outside of academic articles! I bought this copy of The Master & Margarita from a bookstore in Bristol a couple of years ago when visiting friends, and I’m so happy to have finally got round to finishing it! A wonderfully thought-provoking read with some fun characters (Behemoth forever owns my heart).

Little bit of a personal post/sad rant for now:

Uh, so with my university shut down due to corona, it seems like the best 3 years of my life, and everything I’ve worked for, has come to an abrupt end. I didn’t get a proper goodbye to my friends and my amazing department, and I can’t seem to focus on work for tears whilst they sort out how and if we graduate. It’s been my dream & my privilege to study here and to see it end so fast is utterly heartbreaking. I know so many of you will be in the same position (be it school, A levels, uni) and I want to offer my sincerest condolences, and say that my inbox remains open for anyone who, like me, can’t seem to process this right now. Wishing you all the best & health in these troubling times.
