Seven years. That's how long I spent in a Montessori classroom — learning, growing, and falling deeper in love with the art of teaching. It shaped me in ways i still can't fully put into words.

But 5 years ago, I made a leap.

i joined the DepEd Public School System, and honestly? It's been one of the most humbling, eye-opening, and fulfilling chapters of my life. The challenges are different. the kids are different. The energy is different. But the heart of it — that genuine desire to see a child grow — that never changed.

and today, I'm proud to say i'm standing here as a Teacher 3. 🌿

It's not just a rank. It's a reminder that every long day, every lesson plan, every student who looked up and finally understood — it all counted.

I don't know exactly what the next chapter looks like yet, but i know i'm not done growing. There are bigger goals, more lives to touch, and still so much to learn. Whatever comes next, I'm stepping into it with the same passion that walked me into my very first classroom.

PASTING Activity 👍🏻

I think fine motor is an area which is often overlooked, yet it is so important. Fine motor skills are the foundation children need before they learn handwriting, in order to have proper pencil grasp and control of a writing instrument.

Paper Tearing Activity

What to do with this activity?

You don't need expensive toys to keep your older baby or toddler busy. Tearing paper into small pieces can be fun and satisfying for them. The act of tearing encourages useful finger and co-ordination skills. In order to tear paper, your toddler will learn to hold the paper between the thumb and pointing finger of each hand. They then have to move each hand in a different direction. It's quite difficult!

Tissue paper, light coloured paper, wrapping paper, old glossy magazines or even junk mail can be used. Don't use newspapers because newsprint comes off on hands. Explain to your child that this is paper set aside for tearing, and to treat books and other paper items with care.

One of the most important principles of Montessori is an orderly and defined work space. A work rug helps the child to work within a defined area, hence, learning how to unroll and roll a rug is necessary in our classroom.

Back to School!

Feeling excited? and maybe a little bit sad because summer break is over. Some kids feel a little scared, nervous on the first day of school because of new friends, new environment, new teachers and maybe a new school for others.

And you know what? “NEW” worries only stick around a little while. 😘
