I heard that the special psychiatric wing was opening and suggested to Ron that we should try to get moved there to get out of the security block. He agreed with me. I made the appointment to see Dr Cooper over at the hospital. When I was taken over I had an escort of two screws and a dog-handler. While I was in the waiting-room a man called Graham Young joined the queue. He was housed over the hospital and was doing a life sentence for poisoning his family and three of his workmates. During the conversation we had he said he was applying for a job in the found this slightly kitchen. I disturbing . .. the food was bad enough as it was!

Ron was in Durham with Joe Martin, an old friend, and Bruce Reynolds, another of the Great Train Robbers. Ron told me that on the landing above him was the slag Brady, the child-killer. Ron saw him from a distance and said he was an arrogant bastard. I could never understand Lord Longford having anything to do with Brady or Hindley.
