Working on a heavy-duty Sleepy Tea Recipe
This makes enough for about two pots/eight cups of tea. I mix it ahead of time and store it in a jar for later use 🌙
Ingredients:
2 tablespoons Lemon Balm
1 tablespoon Chamomile
1 tablespoon Catnip
1 tablespoon Valerian root
½ tablespoon Spearmint (optional)
Notes:
For extra strength, add an additional ½ tablespoon of Valerian root (be careful though, it can give the tea a bitter taste!)
For an immune system boost, add 1 tablespoon of echinacea (flowers or root)
Directions:
Combine ingredients into tea infuser/tea bag/French press. Pour boiling water over herbs and let steep for 15 minutes (or until it has reached your desired strength). Add honey to sweeten.
Let me know what you think 😊 I would love any suggestions/tips or feedback! ❤️✨

Several years ago I spent the winter holiday teaching myself to juggle, and to this day I can only juggle clementines.

Ok so let me start this by saying I 1000% appreciate their thought and consideration, but “non-tea people” are pretty funny. I have a super nasty cold, like can’t-breathe-coughing-up-my-lungs-can’t-cross-the-room nasty. And some of my delightful clients, upon hearing I was I’ll, instructed my training partner to tell me that I must “cut a lemon in half, put it in boiling water, inhale it until it’s cool enough to drink, then drink it all.” At which point someone else insisted “you must add honey!” And I am truly touched by the concern of these darling people, but lemon honey tea being presented like some super sort of super secret ultra obscure cure-all has had me giggling all day.
This popped up on my Facebook and have you friggin seen these?!?! Tea related puns AND Pokémon?!?!?

Was thinking on it, and I’m genuinely surprised there isn’t more tea-related Pokémon content (or Pokémon-related tea content, if you prefer.) I’ve seen a few things, sure - but I mean honest to goodness high concept content. Of course lawyers and cease and desists longer than the Epic of Gilgamesh would prevent any actual sales of Pokéteas, but you could do so much with flavor profiles.
Salazzle, poison/fire - a warm black tea with nutmeg (toxic in large amounts) and cinnamon. Many people are drawn to these warm, inviting smells which is a claim to fame these spices share with Salazzle.
Shiftry, grass/dark - a heavy green tea (or perhaps a gunpowder green) with a lot of woody notes and a hint of wintry pine, keeping it simple while tying it back to its tengu pine forest roots.
Dedenne, electric/fairy - a fun and tart rooibos tea with lots of berry notes, like red currents, to keep it light. It should pack a sharp, but sweet, punch!
Abomasnow, grass/ice - a white tea with wintergreen or spearmint. This could also work with a very light green tea as either way it would remind of frosted greenery. I could literally do this forever but you get the idea.
