7. Post Allocation Process (KVS vs. NVS) and Final Merit
A unique aspect of this joint recruitment is the post-merit allocation process. After the preparation of the combined merit list, candidates who are successful in the Tier-2 and Interview/Skill Test, and are on the combined merit list for the same post or for more than one post, must mandatorily submit their preference of posts in KVS and NVS.
Preference Submission: Candidates must submit their choice of KVS or NVS via an online portal link which will be made available for a specified, notified period in their application form login.
Allotment Logic: The final allotment of the post and the department (KVS/NVS) will be strictly performed as per the candidate's merit rank (total marks obtained) and the choice indicated on the portal.
One Post Allotment: A candidate will be allotted only one post according to their choice filled and overall merit, even if they appeared in Tier-2/Interview/Skill Test for multiple posts.
No Change Policy: Requests for any change in the choice/preference submitted online will not be accepted for any reason.
Failure to Choose: Crucially, candidates who fail to submit their choice within the notified period will not be considered in the final merit list, and no post will be allotted to them.
