[ Porcelain gets a Call || Part 1 ]
Porcelain is currently working on filing her nails with a content smile on her face.
“There we go! Just a couple more nails and my hands will be ready for stabbing!”
Zephyr walks in with a hologram pad in hand.
“Sup, dolly. How are you doing today?”
Porcelain immediately gets annoyed, her smile fading.
“Oh, come ON! You made me mess up! Now I have to start all—“
She notices the hologram pad in Zephyr’s palms.
Zephyr sets it on the table next to her. She scampers over to get a better view.
“My day’s been great, thank you for asking.”
“ZEPHYR. ANSWER THE FUCKING QUESTION.”
Zephyr sighs, a frown forming.
”Relax, babes. I was only kidding. You see, uh— I’ve been expecting a call from Shrimpman, but the screen won’t turn on. D’ya think you could help me?”
“Oh, well if it’s for Shrimpman.”
She takes it from them, her fingers eagerly going to forcibly power it on. After a moment, it did, but a familiar force shone as a hologram instantly after.
“Took you long enough to answer.”
It’s Control! In his bat form, but Control nonetheless.
Porcelain is instantly upset at his presence.
She slides the hologram pad over to Zephyr.
“Break this so I don’t have to speak to his ass.”
“Sorry, but this is a conversation we unfortunately can’t avoid, as much as I want to.”
Zephyr raises an eyebrow, suddenly very interested at the conversation at hand.
“Oh? I sense distress from the great Control.”
“Sign me up, babes! Spill the tea! I’m in the mood for some drama.”
Porcelain shakes her head, not having the time or the patience to deal with this.
“Look, Control. I really don’t care what you have to say. It’s late, I’m tired, we all want to go home. Can’t this wait until—“
Control interrupts her, saying three words he knows will have a massive impact on everyone there.
Zephyr’s snarky personality instantly fades.
“Not sure if that’s what I would’ve started with, babes.”
Porcelain is stunned silent, her pupils now progressively smaller.
Her mouth opens and closes like a fish out of water.
Control takes a deep breath. He has to bite the bullet now.
“She never died in the lab explosion. Like the rest of us, her DNA was altered and she took on a new form. That’s why you never heard from her again.”
“Not only that, she also immediately changed her name and got rid of all evidence linking her old name to her current identity.”
“If you don’t believe me, I’m actually here with her right now.”
“If you want to talk to her, you can, but keep in mind an altercation between her and someone else occurred around 30 minutes ago, so she is currently covered in blood and probably mute now, so she likely won’t verbally respond back.”
She just kind of stands there silently for nearly 5 minutes before responding.
