[A Dragonite is sitting along the shoreline of Dewdrop Town and staring into the seemingly endless ocean. There are other Pokémon on the beach, but she is all by herself in her own little area. She appears to be deep in thought.]

Do you approach her?

Hey, everyone. I know there hasn't been much activity from this blog, and there is a good reason for that: I haven't been motivated to do anything related to the older version of the fanfiction this blog is based on. If you don't know, I've rebooted the fanfic into something I'm much more proud of, but because of how much has been changed, I was not sure how to retool this blog to match the version of the fic I now consider canon.

So, instead of doing that, I've made an entirely new blog:

I will now be focusing my askblogging efforts on that blog instead of this one, and this blog will remain as an archive. Any further activity from here will be reblogging asks I've sent with this account and have been answered since this message has been posted.

Since this is a blog reboot and the main characters are the same, I would like for friendships the main characters have with other blog characters here to be transferred over. If any of the blog owners want to say otherwise, please let me know.

Otherwise, I will see everyone on the new blog.

Blaise: So, do ya have any siblings or anything? I have a sister who’s also hasn’t evolved yet so people think that I’m the older one, but she’s actually older than me by a few years. Isn’t that funny?

[Denomi chuckled nervously.]

[Denomi] "Yeah, that is a little funny. I'm the 'little brother' in my family. My older sister, Numera, is a Togekiss, and..."

[Denomi] "Um... Yeah. She's competitive, she's really strong, and, uh, really outgoing. We're kind of polar opposites."

[Denomi pauses to adjust the strap on his bag, even though it was already well adjusted]

[Denomi] "She also really wants me to evolve, and so do I, really, but she's always coming up with some kind of training routine and dragging me into it, and it never usually works out well because, well..."

[He gestures to his small Togepi body.]

[Denomi] "I can't blame her for that. She's trying her best."

[@team-pokefriends] Catherine: The Dragonite lands nearby and slowly walks up to the Flareon. With her hands nervously up to her chest, she takes a small breath before speaking. "Um... Hey. Did the rain get you at a bad time?" She looks out to the environment and watches the scenery for a bit. After a couple of seconds, she glances back at the Flareon "Do you need help getting somewhere? I can help get you through the rain, if you want." She gives them a small smile of assurance.

Ruby was impressed by the Dragonite’s manners, “I think I’ll be alright, but thank you for your offer!”

“If you don’t mind my saying, you remind me a bit of my little sister, her name is Aurora! I bet you two would get along great.” Ruby gave the Dragonite a reassuring smile,

“Oh?”

“It seems the rain has stopped!”

“I best be on my way then, you be safe on your travels, dear!”

[Eventually, Catherine and Sophie meet back up on the warm sands of the beach.]

[Sophie] "Didja see me out on the waves? I was shreddin' it out there!"

[Catherine] "I did. You looked amazing."

[Sophie] "Thanks. So, what did you do?"

[Catherine] "Oh, um... I talked to a few Pokémon. I walked around. Besides watching you, I think that's it."

[Sophie] "Really? You didn't fly around or do something exciting like that?"

[Catherine] "No. I didn't want to do anything like that."

[She lied, but Sophie didn't think too much of it.]

[Sophie] "Alright, I gotcha."

[As the two left the beach, Catherine couldn't help but feel like her time there was a little lacking. She can't help but remember the activities she used to do with her old friends at the beach.

...

She took a deep breath in and exhaled.]

[Catherine, thoughts] "(Maybe next time...)"

[Catherine and Sophie have left the beach.]

[Sophie is definitely impressed by the skill on display.]

[Sophie] "That's awesome!"

[Sophie, thoughts] "(I gotta try somethin' like that. Oh, I have an idea!)"

[Sophie] "Ay! Check this out!"

[Using Surf, she starts to speed up towards a small wave. As she gets close, she bends her legs and pushes them against the water, causing her to sink a little. Then, as soon as she makes it to the wave, she uses the move again to push herself, launching off the wave like a ramp. While in the air, she uses the opportunity to strike a cool pose.]

[Sophie, excited] "Awlrite!"

[After pulling off the pose, she moves her limbs to prepare herself for the landing. Her feet hit the waters and she uses Surf, creating waves to push against her and keep her situated above the sea while she finds her balance.

As soon as she manages to keep herself balanced on the waters, she throws her hands up and shouts.]

[Sophie, excited] "WOOOOOH!"

[@team-pokefriends] Catherine @ Bexley: The visor-wearing Dragonite nervously approaches the other Dragonite. "I'm surprised I'm not the only Dragonite here, but I'm at least glad for that." She brought her claws together. "So, um... I was passing by, and I couldn't help but overhear that you're a mail carrier, is that right?"

Bexley: "Indeed I am, yessir! Delivering mail of all sorts to wherever you need throughout New Imaros and of course the non overworld locations. It's nice to see a fellow dragonite as well now that you mention that. I'm from the village of Dragons but anywhere else is always nerve racking when there's more smaller pokemon heh."

[team-pokefriends]

[Catherine rubs the back of her neck.]

[Catherine, nervous] "I get what you mean. I always get really nervous when I'm around small Pokémon, because I don't want to scare them or hurt them badly."

[She then takes a breath and holds her hands together.]

[Catherine] "But anyway, it sounds like we have a bit in common. I used to volunteer at my town's Post Office when I was a Dragonair. It was fun delivering the mail to the town, and I miss being able to do that."

[She looks around them for a bit before leaning in, her hands covering the sides of her mouth.]

[Catherine, nervous, quietly] "And I was also hatched on a secret island where only Pokémon like us are allowed. I didn't live there for long, only for about the first four years of my life, but it was nice."

[She then leans back and lowers her hands, keeping them held together.]

[Catherine] "But, yeah, it does make me feel better to meet another friendly Dragonite. It's nice to meet you, too."

[Response to this post]

[Sophie nods and jumps onto the water, attempting to pose as she lands. The water beneath her feet pushes her up a little and she almost loses her balance. She shifts her arms and body around until she finds herself standing on her personal waves without further issue. Then, while still using Surf, the water pushes her out further and further away from the shore.]

[She then glances over to Genera and smiles a toothy grin at her.]

[Sophie, excited] "Alright! Let's get this started!"

[Catherine looks even more confused.]

[Catherine, nervous] "I... Um..."

[She takes a second to recollect her thoughts before speaking again.]

[Catherine, nervous] "I think I've heard of a Rotom before... but you say it powers a 'phone'? And a portable music player? What does that mean? And what's a phone?"

[She then realizes what she's doing and she puts her hands up.]

[Catherine, nervous] "I'm sorry if that's a lot of questions. This is all new to me."

Well, giving up on explanations, Ruby is leading Catherine to her towel. She also summons her Rotom Phone.

H-here...If you're curious... Rotom Phone is a more than a phone, it can p-play games, videos, m-music, n-not just calls... And for b-boombox...watch this!

Ruby opens a music app and connects her phone via Bluetini. And then, this music starts to play, albeit a bit loud.

ACK! THAT IS T-TOO LOUD. H-HERE, LEMME FIX THIS...

She lowers the volume of the boombox.

H-here, that s-should be better... So, d-did I explained enough, or you w-want to hear more?

[Catherine is immediately taken by surprise by the music coming from the boombox. She can't believe what she's witnessing with her eyes and ears. She is in awe.]

[Catherine] "Wha- That's... actual music! That's amazing!"

[She looks over to the phone. She can't fathom how something like that is possible, and as much as she wants to think about it, she doesn't think she'll come even close to beginning to understand it.]

[Catherine] "I wish I had something like this back where I'm from."

[Catherine, nervous] "I... Um..."

@ask-the-golden-god *Genera approaches Sophie.*

Gen: Hey hey!!! OMG I love your shades! They remind me of my old man's. Did I hear you mention something about surfing? Or using the move surf?

[Sophie] "Heh heh. Thanks. And yeah, I just learned this move for the occasion and wanted to try it out. Saw a buncha Pokémon at my town doin' it and it looked really fun."

[She approaches the shore and reaches her right foot out onto the waves. Then, she prepares herself to use Surf. A small wave grows beneath her foot and pushes against it, trying to bring it forward. Sophie is almost pulled into the water, but she presses her foot down against the wave like a grindstone to stop herself in time.]

[Sophie, quietly] "So that's how it works. I can get used to this."

[Then, with a confident smile on her face, she looks back at the human with the surfboard.]

[Sophie] "Looks like you're also ready to go surfing. How about it? Wanna go catch some waves?"

[She smirks a toothy grin and points her right thumb back towards the ocean.]

Another one who just looks like her, huh? Nevertheless, she makes a smile.

"H-hey! How's it g-going? You want s-some help with stuff to do h-here? Sure. I-I'm suggesting making a sand castle. Or a sand fortress, whatever it's comfortable for you, haha. When I w-was a kid, I've enjoyed doing these."

[Catherine looks at the Clefairy.]

[Catherine, nervous] "Oh. Um, I used to do that, too."

[She recalls a memory of her past. Her eyes close and stay closed briefly. After a couple of seconds, she opens her eyes back up and she looks down at the sand.]

[Catherine, nervous] "But, I don't have a bucket, and I didn't think to buy one."

[She then rub the side of her neck with her right hand and looks out to the shore.]

[Catherine, nervous] "I think I'll just walk around for now. Thank you for trying to help."

O-oh, I see...

Ruby slightly disappointing, but not very surprised.

Y-yea, we also didn't brought anything much other than our mats and a boombox. A Bluetini one to be exact. Where you can connect wirelessly via Rotom Phone.

But we sure will happy to do just more than that. I-It's a beach event...I think what our boss told us... Anyways, I-I hope you have a great time regardless!

[Catherine's curiosity piqued upon hearing terms she wasn't familiar with.]

[Catherine] "I've never heard of a 'boombox' or a 'Rotom Phone'. Are those things where you're from? What are they?"

[She raises her hand up to her chin as she looks at the Clefairy with great interest.]

[Catherine and Sophie enter the beach together. Catherine is wearing a specialized visor to match her bow, and Sophie is wearing her Sick Specs.]

[Catherine, nervous] "That's a lot of Pokémon..."

[Sophie] "Yep. So, have you figured out whatcha gonna do?"

[Catherine, nervous] "I'm still not sure."

[Sophie] "Well, ya better make up your mind up, 'cause ya never wanna waste a day like this. I'm gonna try out this 'Surf' move on the waves."

[The Slowking pats Catherine on the back.]

[Sophie] "Catch ya later!"

[Sophie runs off towards the shore.]

[Catherine, nervous] "Oh..."

[Her eyes look to the sand beneath her.]

[Catherine, thoughts] "(Okay... Um... What do I do?)"

[Catherine then looks around the beach and tries to come up with something to do.]

[Catherine and Sophie are now available for beach event asks!]
