Laws being passed in the UK in 2007 concerning energy efficient light bulbs stemmed designers such as Hulger and Samuel Wilkinson to make energy efficient light bulbs aesthetically pleasing.

Sensuede is the latest faux suede fabric being used by designers such as Kristin Drohan who are thinking green... it is being used in upholstery, visual merchandising, crafts and fashion.

Oko, a frozen yogurt shop in Park Slope, Brooklyn boasts eco-friendly features like counters and walls  made from sunflower seeds, biodegradable packaging and bamboo walls, and recently installed a new awning with solar panels that are going to help power some of its appliances.

Toyota Prius

The Prius first went on sale in Japan in 1997, and was available at all four Toyota Japan dealerships, making it the first mass-produced hybrid vehicle.

The EPA and California Air Resources Board (CARB) rate the Prius as among the cleanest vehicles sold in the United States based on smog-forming emissions.

Solar-powered 'Energy Bucket' collects sunshine

The Energy Bucket is simply just a plastic bucket that houses 1kw LED lights which are powered by the photovoltaic solar panels installed on the lid of the bucket.
