I love snarky games so I decided to play an Oregon Trail spin off for the hell of it. Its finals, I do what I want. If course I wanted to see what this game was about. The snarky bastards...

Well anyway, past that... I was also studying so I wanted to turn down the sound. I tried using their method, but I found it rather expensive.

Well I figure the best way to play a snarky game is to be snarky back so I choose a badass crew of pilgrims.

And thus started my epic quest.

Sometimes I like to think that Birdo is a guy and Yoshi is a girl, it makes the most sense when you think about it.

Actually they're both technically guys. Nintendo has made an official statement saying that Birdo is a transvestite. "The original manual for Super Mario Bros. 2 asserts that Birdo is a boy who believes that he is a girl, and would rather be referred to as "Birdetta""

Later statements suggest he is a post operational transgender. Either way, Birdo is actually male and Yoshi is definitely male.

Inspired by Anita Sarkeesian’s Video Game Tropes vs Women, I wanted to pitch a Zelda game where Zelda herself was the hero, rescuing a Prince Link. 

Clockwork Empire is set 2,000 years after Twilight Princess, and is not a reboot, but simply another iteration in the Zelda franchise. It just so happens that in this case, Zelda is the protagonist. I’m a very big Zelda fan, and worked hard to draw from key elements in the continuity and mythos.

This concept work is meant to show that Zelda as a game protagonist can be both compelling and true to the franchise, while bringing new and dynamic game elements that go farther than being a simple gender swap.

what is your favorite childhood memory?

Hmm... That's tough. I guess it depends on what you consider childhood. If you consider middle school childhood, I guess I would have to say going on a three week road trip through Western America with my family. We visited all sorts of national parks and basically had a jolly good time outdoors. It was that trip which ultimately sparked my love of history and desire to do something with it for a career.
