007 Fest Masterpost!

I’d have thought my first year joining after years of lurking around would allow me with ample time to enjoy basking in the month of creativity. Alas, it is my first month of being a responsible adult. Working has been a toll and this is the best I can do.

Thanks to everyone who have been so supportive and amazing throughout the month! @teammbranch is so full of love and the rest of the MI6 fam! The group chat makes me smile whenever I am having a rough day at work.

End of 007 Fest Reminders

Create a masterlist of your 007 fest fancreations. It’s necessary if you’re competing for points, great for self promotion anyway. Brag about crossing the 007 Fest finish line and reflect on your successes; you’ve earned it!  

Look for an email with a short end of fest survey. Even if you aren’t competing for points, please fill this out. Only people who fill out the survey are eligible for prizes. If you are competing for points, this is how you submit your official points total, AND your team gets an extra 5 points for each team member who fills out the optional questions. You will have until August 8th to submit your points and fill out the survey! 

Reflect on the fest. The survey asks for feedback and we really do take things into consideration. Help us make 007 Fest 2019 even more awesome! Also, feedback is especially important this year because we tried out a few new things. (Hello, Team M Branch, Team Villains, and Team Civilians!)

Sleep things about Q

Q is a cuddler because he gets colds so easily. Q seeks out warmth even when asleep and if he’s sharing the bed with someone he trusts that person will be subjected to Q migrating to their side.  The first night Bond stayed over he had pulled Q close in a comfortable, leisurely loose hold. When morning had arrived Bond had found himself trapped in Q’s arms. Q was tucked under Bond’s arm with one of his arms hugging Bond close around the waist and one of Q’s legs was hooked with one of Bond’s. An octopus.  Bond thinks it’s adorable except on the mornings when he really has to relieve himself and wakes up trapped in Q’s hold because the boffin is stronger than he looks and only latches on tighter when James tries to wriggle loose.

With that being said Q is also a blanket hog when he gets too cold. He’s gotten used to sleeping alone and he would pull all the blankets as close as possible to keep warm. He still does it when Bond is away on missions. Sometimes Bond will come home from a mission in the middle of the night to find Q fast asleep on Bond’s side of the bed wrapped in all the blankets. Bond has mastered an effective way to quickly tug the blankets away and replace their warmth with his own. It results in Q turning into him with a barely coherent mumble of “You’re home.”

Q sleep types. Occasionally he will have ideas come to him in his sleep or he’ll have dreams involving his laptop and Q’s fingers will tap out code. Bond discovered this one night. He is in tune to everything Q does even while asleep and a week into staying over Q begins to type out a line against Bond’s chest. This alarms Bond until he pieces together what is happening. He finds it really adorable and will take videos of the occasions if his phone is within reach.

That being said, Bond has a lot of pictures on his camera roll of Q asleep. He will take pictures of Q asleep with the cats. Or asleep against Bond’s shoulder on a train ride home. Or against the window of the Aston on a road trip. There is one picture Bond took of Q, where the sunlight was just barely streaming in and it fell over Q in a way that highlighted the softness of his face and made Bond fall in love with him a little more. It’s Bond’s favourite picture.

After Bond dies Q stops sleeping in their bedroom. When Eve finally gets Q home, after he has spent three days in Q branch hacking and wrecking havoc on all those who had a hand in Bond’s death, he walks past their bedroom and falls into the guestroom bed. He never opens that door again.

The cats are confused as to why Q is in the wrong room and why Bond isn’t home. Eventually, they accept that the guestroom is their new sleeping quarters and Bond’s scent fades away but not the memory of the way he would carry them and play with them. Q holds them closer at night now and sensing his sadness they make it their mission to never leave Q alone when he is home.
