I know, I know. I've been having a lot of issues with my health (Since May 1st I've had a severe concussion, a c diff infection, and a round of the flu) but I have very good news
A new update for Love Exalt means new music, and new music means new tracks on the official OST! Listen/Stream/Purchase on bandcamp, and enjoy the tunes!
WAHOO!!! A brand new shiny chunk of content!! Act 2 takes its first big step forward with some huge plot revelations, some tender conversations, and a complex, strategical free-for-all board game. But what is the gang fighting for?? Do they stand to win the key to victory... or to lose one of their fellow passengers forever?
The interludes are much more fleshed out and fancy this time around, so be sure to check them all out!! Thanks for playing!!

Added the ability to view the update messages for all previous updates! You can find them in the Scene Select
Added 5 new animations for character sprites: Fall, Land, Rise, Twitch, and Rocketship
Shortened Veil labyrinth minigame (when you move the ball through the maze) by about 30% so it doesn't destroy the pacing of the scene quite as badly
Slightly lowered Veil timer to compensate for the shorter map lengths
Added fullscreen mode in settings

Added Japanese font and license :3
Added a secret to the main menu
Added two special secret codes you can type in on the main menu
Added a rare 1% chance secret during the fishing minigame (also can be enabled permanently with a main-menu secret keyphrase) (+click particles)

Bugs/Cleanup
Fixed typos, missing colors on character names, missing Deadghost X's, and tons of tiny malignments from A2S1: The Ball Scene and other scenes too!
Fixed missing pixel on sad Pet sprite
Removed font size option :( It was causing things like textbox sprites to be misaligned for some players!!
Fixed a plothole in Scene 4 (Tank mentions the axe trap, but during the trial everyone says he never mentioned it)
Prevented earsplitting chaos noise when starting a game after flooding the main menu with badges
Fixed Counter/Concur trial sfx being set to Music volume
Fixed music player issue where the first stage of Godstepper was assigned to stage 2 as well
Hey everyone, good news - the next update will (hopefully!) be out in the next couple of weeks.
Assets and animations for the next death game segment are all finished, and all that's left now is some of the small stuff - achievement icons, changelogs, thumbnails for the update, that kinda stuff. We're getting really close to more content for you all to enjoy! See you soon!

What kinda games inspired you to make Love Exalt? :O And what were the inspirations for Healer and Chef's characters?

Love Exalt was inspired by Danganronpa, Your Turn to Die, Zero Escape, and Kentucky Route Zero! Especially Zero Escape for the focus on cool twists, and Your Turn to Die for its incredible writing. YTTD felt like the first death game story where the characters were all given equal chance to shine and grow, which made deaths hit that much harder-- and the overarching mystery, while currently unresolved, is super inspiring and intriguing…
For Chef and Healer, I didn't have any direct character inspirations. They're both parts of me, first and foremost. If I had to guess at some subconscious influences though, I'd say the Strider boys (Homestuck) and Keiji (YTTD) share some DNA with Chef. I wanted to make a cool, flashy matter-bending stoner-lookin boy, a chill guy who low-key dgaf, a gay guy who is definitely full gay but passes as straight and doesn't draw much attention to it.
Healer was an uwu softboy from day one, and I wanted to slowly grow his confidence and fire as the story progressed! His backstory came with the package too. I wanted to present him as a classic take on the White Mage archetype-- empathetic and wimpy-- but then to reveal a lot more about why he picked that class and why he is the way he is!
