Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to go on an overnight drunk, and in 10 days I’m going to set out to find the shark that ate my friend and destroy it. Anyone who wants to tag along is more than welcome.
The Darjeeling Limited
When I get really sad, I always put in a Wes Anderson movie. They just make me feel better.
Right now I'm watching the Life Aquatic. I know I'm going to cry at the end, I always do.
Still will make me feel a lot better than how I feel right now.
I really want to drink a beer with these guys.
What's your favorite Wes Anderson film?
I know when people ask me that, I never know what to say.
Then some ask, "Well, which one have you seen the most?"
"All of them"
...
(Except for Moonrise Kingdom, just wait until it's out on DVD, I'm sure it'll catch up to all the other ones really fast!)
Hope everyone has a fun and safe weekend! Get into some trouble, life is short.

Neat-o!
The best part about meeting new people and having a new boyfriend is getting to show them Wes Anderson movies
How you know the guy you're talking to is worth your time: He likes Wes Anderson films
How to know if that kid from lecture is cool enough to be your friend: He likes Wes Anderson films
My own personal boyfriend (I have one of those! I'm doing really awesome in life so far), fell in love with The Life Aquatic and now I'm trying to convince him I'm also worth falling in love with, even though Bill Murray is wayyy more cool than me, I can quote the whole movie. It's under my "special talents" on my resume. He is now a huge Wes Anderson fan and I get to take all of the credit (except for writing, filming, acting, and producing the films, whatever).
I always do this test, and if my brother wasn't, like, "family" we would so not get along. He saw Moonrise Kingdom and told everyone afterward that it was boring and vomit-inducing. Those are fightin' words.
Go out and have an adventure tonight, guys. Don't forget your bandit hats.
Hey I just did a write-up on The Royal Tenenbaums, you should check it out, and if you like it maybe you could plug it? Thanks!
I'll never turn down reading anything Anderson based, and this is a really great break-down of this film. I have a lot of friends who despise Wes Anderson's films because of the whole "style over substance" argument (especially my brother, I don't know how we came from the same mother), but I think the reason so many people do love Anderson films is because they all show these great stories of human existence that many people can relate too. (What, you've never been in love with your adopted sister?)
Anyways, if your a fan of Wes Anderson's films or just want a good read over a fan-fucking-tastic film, check this out!
