Itâs so scary to be Trans
Mum forced me out of the closet a few weeks ago and it was terrifying, I feel like i canât just say:Â âim 100% male, i want hormones, i want to change my name and get surgeryâ would it hurt her? Beginning of January when i first cut my hair and she asked me if i might be male i said yes and then proceeded to ignore me for 5-6 months.. and then she goes on and tells me that:Â âoh i Always look at the shirts in YD (A male clothes shop) and think that theyâd really suit youâ but then tells me she doesnât think iâm trans because i occasionally wear jeans from the female section (since i canât fit mens) n i just??Â
and then thereâs dad, god i first got my haircut and just flat out told me i look like a: âdisgusting butch lesbian whoâll never be able to get a jobâ And when mum wanted to get me a shirt from YD it was a: âif you buy that for âherâ Iâll never forgive youâÂ
dad was my lifeline and my go to person for so long, i look up too him, but we never talk, we donât have a connection and iâm wondering if itâs better to just stay that way.Â
and i see all these âtransboisâ on tiktok, who barely attempt to pass, are completely feminine to the point where it hurts (and iâm not saying that you canât be feminine, hell i wear black nail polish and have an ear piercing) and theyâre going around doing all these scenarios of:Â
âhomophobic auntâ :you look so PreTTy!âÂ
Them: âOh iâm a guy, donât call me prettyâÂ
âhomophobicâ aunt: âbut youâre wearing a skirt/dress to thanksgivingâthem: âSoOoOâÂ
And hey, maybe itâs just An Australian thing, but i have Never, ever seen a guy wear a dress, who A. isnât a cross-dresser or B. a drag queen. Iâve also, never met another trans-guy who wears a dress or skirt by choiceÂ
but maybe thatâs just..idk me and my âtruscumâ mindset.Â
But the amount of de-transitioners are going up and itâs not surprising at this stage. Iâm scared for our youth not gonna lie.Â
