Having finally finished updating the systems at both the Ouvara and Danon police stations, Takeru was not in the right mind to be decoding such roundabout ways of asking him to meet up.
Especially not when he was back tracing a line of emails that one of the other detectives had passed off to him, insisting that they looked suspicious and that he absolutely had to do this.
⌨ Keep you waiting? What do you mean?
His response was quick, his keyboard clacking as he shifted it between screens, eyes darting to another screen as the program he was running had begun to shrink the area of interest down to a triangle.
⌨ I don’t understand why you would require the use of my name to bid for something more interesting.
As you can see. It really wasn’t something that Takeru could figure out while he was bouncing between tasks and not having taken a break yet. He wanted to just finish up with the stupid emails so he could head off from work earlier.
He was honestly so thankful he wasn’t an officer that was required to go on patrols. Considering his specialization, he could stay locked up in his office all day if he so wished.
Though considering the smaller numbers of actual detectives, it wasn’t strange that Takeru would actually be pulled out for field work. He had the experience after all.
He paused as he was about to print out his findings, glancing back to the messenger.
Annoyance was quick to appear along his features at the messages he got in return. How could he fail to understand that he wanted him there? That he was placing bids through him to show how much he’d pay just to have a day where Takeru wasn’t working away in that office of his.
⌨ Honestly Takeru why else would I go through such efforts to bid on people using your name. It’s how much I’d bid on you if you’d come here.
How else could he get his attention? Sending texts was useless and now this seemed to falter and fail right before his eyes. With a frustrated sigh he powered his tablet off and closed the lid, set it on his table and glared out across the scene. Now he was honestly thinking of going home. He had sought out a normal day and yet he hadn’t wanted to do it by himself. Why had he chosen Takeru of all people? Unless he had a donut to lead him around with it didn’t seem as if...
❝God dammit. What a waste of time.❞
