i slightly revamped my gay man flag from about a year ago! i made the lines more pleasing to the eyes (farewell tiny white lines), and updated the stripes’ meanings! (meanings are also beneath the cut if its hard to read)

im a disabled trans person who was just fired from my job after i got covid again, as an immunocompromised person i had to take unexpected extended leave to recover- once i ran out of pto they let me go

me and my partner have been homeless for two years, we just got into an apartment three months ago, we cannot end up homeless again..

i already have a new job!! but they can only schedule me in two hour blocks while training me for the next week, this is not going to be anywhere near enough to cover rent by the end of the month, we need help

hey all! my luck has not turned around at all since my last post, in fact, things have gotten significantly worse

on 2/1/24 me and my partner were informed that we would need to vacate our current living situation, after being homeless for the last year we have nowhere else to go, our back up plan was to stay in our car if we werent able to get into a new apartment

but last night while driving home someone backed into our car and completely totaled it, the tow driver couldnt even get it up onto the ramp because it just started burning gas, the tire is fucked, it was already on its last leg but its done for now and would be worth way more to fix it than its worth

so! i now have no way to get to work, no way to leave the house at all, me and my partner have no way to get to doctors appointments, both of us are trans and disabled and need to regularly see our dr and now we have no way to do this, we cant get the cats their food, cant get groceries, we cant do anything

this is our last straw, if we lose this vehicle i will lose my job and we will be left on the streets with absolutely nothing, im completely terrified

we have a perspective vehicle, but im short about $500, im desperate to make this work but i need help

please, if youre financially able to help i am begging anyone to hear me, i need help

Please help your local t4t disabled couple!! We are losing our housing!!!!

My partner and I have been homeless since Dec 2022, we were living in Portland and as the eviction moratoriums in our county got lifted- I got Covid. I was horribly sick and lost my job as a result of the protections in my county being lifted, and was unable to make rent. We were evicted from our home, and we have been couch surfing ever since; but our current situation has ended. The people who we're crashing with want us to leave as soon as possible. Their living space is small and our households combined is just too much, so they want us out.

The good news is that I have a friend who is willing to rent out to me!! She recently moved in with her partner, but has a vacant room in her old apartment while her previous roomies wait out their current lease. And her roomies are willing to talk long term, and possibly renewing the lease! Which would be huge for us!! I'll be taking over her rent in this place. I just need some extra help after the ice storms that hit the West Coast cut a lot of hours off my paycheck.

I need about $200 to make up for what I lost, to be able to pay Feb rent for our new living situation, and still be able to get gas and essentials to live.

If three people send one dollar I'm able to get a carton of eggs and ramen to last us a week, there is NOTHING too small in this situation.

Literally anything helps, reblogs are SO important in this circumstance. Tumblr likes to suppress posts like this, so word of mouth is the ONLY way to people in my circumstances receive help.

my take on the gay flag!

similar to how i made nightfall lesbian, daybreak gay is more of an alt flag than anything, not a replacement for the vincian flag.

queer attraction = not every gay is strictly a boy or gonna be solely attracted to men let alone in a romantic or sexual way, so the attraction is just always queer in some way

gender nonconformity = not every gay is a typical masc/bear gay conforming to societal norms of being connected to masculinity

individuality = includes independence, every gay has an independent different experience with their identity, every gay experience is different for each individual.

community = very important for us to recognize we are and have a community

loving or loveless = includes gay aros who are loveless, love preferable or love repulsed, as well as includes love in all forms or no love at all (love is not required for your identity, but all forms of love and attraction are valid)

pride in gay history = gays, including trans and mspec gays, have existed for centuries and gay history, let alone queer history, is something to be proud of

solidarity = solidarity between gays of all kinds regardless of whatever other labels you may use.
