Fun fact: people make uncontrollable micro expressions that can reveal their feelings. Behavioural experts will take video of, say, a suspect in a murder investigation, really slow it down, and watch for micro expressions, especially ones that contradict what the suspect is saying. Really interesting, worth looking up.

Anyway.

Peter can see things in slow motion any time he wants. He doesn't need a computer. He can just see these micro expressions as they're happening, and he's learned to read them, to understand what they mean. He can see pupil responses, changing heart rate through visible veins on people's skin, minute gestures that give away where a person is about to step, if they're going to run, if they're going to fight. Peter is basically a human lie detector. He doesn't need telepathy to read someone's mind. He can read body language and signals that people don't know they're sending. He tells absolutely no one about this. He's content to be the comedic relief, the happy one who can cheer up anyone, the loveable dork. But if you manage to piss him off? Best believe he's gonna read you to filth and you won't even see it coming.

On an unrelated note, he's a damn good poker player.

i always write quickie as this self isolating, awkward dude. with a little added charisma. but mostly he'a a huge dork. and the people around him still like him, even tho they think he's a little weird, right? thats what i used to headcanon for him. because i thought so many years of isolation, and having a power that separates you from everyone else might make you kind of a weirdo.

but if the pics of his leg cast from apocalypse are anything to go by,,, this dude is like mad popular and beloved. which makes sense. when you think abt all he did for everyone and how charming he comes off as !! maybe he's not as awkward as i imagined and-OKAY WHILE WRITING THIS I LITERALLY JUST REALIZED THAT OWL DRAWING MIGHT BE A RUSH REFERENCE (wow i love fly by night) ??? 🏳️‍⚧️ Top Surgery Funding 🏳️‍⚧️

As most of you know at this point, things are getting scary for trans people in America recently. With that being said, I don't know how much longer I'll legally be allowed to get this surgery seeing as I live in a red state. It's not the reddest state ever, but it's still getting pretty bad. I would love to be able to get top surgery by this time next year. I do believe that to be possible with enough help.

I don't know the exact amount the surgery will cost as I have not yet had my consultation. Seeing as I don't have insurance and based on how much I've seen others spend, I think $10k is pretty close to what I'll likely be spending. I'll be sure to update when I do have an exact number.
