{ kingsley }ā:
āIt was.ā Although, it wasnāt just because of the book, like heād made it sound. Emrys coming back had really shaken him - it was great news, but it was weird, and he couldnāt stop thinking about how it could have happened, and how heād gotten away nowĀ of all times.Ā āOh, it was one of those weird journals from a couple hundred years ago⦠you donāt want to know.ā
āDonāt wanna know, got it.ā Ted chuckled slightly, raising his hands on either side of his head. After a bit, he lowered his hands and sighed.Ā āIām guessing youāve heard about Emrys then? That heās back.ā
{ gilderoy }ā:
āer, no,ā gil shook his head in confusion,Ā āitās literallyĀ just a greasy circle of cheese, lad. sorry to disappoint.ā he chuckled.Ā
āYou wound me,ā he said, raising a hand to his own chest.Ā āPizza is one of lifeās best comfort foods, and youāre telling me you donāt like it?ā
{ andromeda }ā:
Andromeda hadnāt meant to avoid him. With the stress of her berothal, sheād just ā pulled away a little. She wasnāt entirely sure how to react to it. When heād owled her, Andromeda wasnāt sure if she should go ā but she knew Ted would be able to take her mind off of it. Things always seemed to be easy with him, despite the fact they had to hide their friendship.Ā
Sheād made her way to the kitchens, the corners of her lips curving up into a smile as she saw him.Ā āNot on purpose, I promise,ā She murmured, a sigh escaping her lips as she moved towards him.Ā āIā Iām just stressed, is all. My mother decided that I ought to be betrothed.ā She admitted, tucking her hair behind her ear.Ā āTo my exās cousin. Itās not been an entirely pleasant few days. I apologise for not coming to see you, though. Iāve missed our chats.ā
He smiled a bit easier when she smiled, but her next words caused it to fall.Ā āA...A betrothal? āDromeda, Iām...Iām so sorry, I know this canāt be easy.ā Ted glanced around the hall bore opening the door to the kitchens, placing his hand between her shoulder blades once he stepped closer.Ā āI feel like itās going to be aĀ āhidden stash of alcoholā kind of evening. Come on, we talk about this inside, yeah?
Ted had at seen Andromeda in a while and he was starting to worry about her. He figured she was okay, but he couldnāt stop the nagging voice in the back of his mind that told him to reach out. That evening, heād sent her an owl, telling her to meet him in ātheir spot,ā something that couldnāt be known unless she had told anyone. That night, heād shown up outside the kitchens, waiting for her to round that corner and allow his heart to stop beating so quickly. Soon enough, heād gotten his wish, but the beat of his heart didnāt slow down. āI was beginning to worry you were avoiding me,ā Ted said with a half-smile. āYou donāt have to stay long, I just wanted to check in and see if you were okay.ā

{ elise }ā:
Elise paused as Ted made eye contact with her, having had stumbled over the whole situation by complete surpise. āWood-fired pizza oven?ā She repeated curiously, stopping to think about it. The whole idea didnāt sound bad. āWould the elves even know how to cook with it? Actually- donāt they already have it?ā
āAh, ah, ah,ā he said with a smile.Ā āThey have an oven--probably because some muggleborn wanted to cook with it--but not a wood-fired pizza oven! We all love pizza, donāt we, itād taste so much better than now!ā
{ gilderoy }ā:
gilderoy sneered as he was called out, rolling his eyes.Ā āand whatās in it for me? a greasy circle of cheese?ā he scoffed, the thought of it making him laugh.Ā āiāll take my chances, thanks.ā
āGreasy circle of cheese?ā Tedās eyes widened a bit and he shook his head.Ā āPizza is so much more than that, mate! Itās like pure joy in a meal!ā
{ mary }ā:
āYou literally had me at pizza, not going to lie,ā Mary laughed.Ā āI would definitely sign that petition, nothing better than home-made wood-fired pizza.ā
āPerfect!ā He smiled widely, holding out the petition to her.Ā āJust one little signature and weāre closer to get that pizza, Mary!ā
{ regulus }ā:
Regulus normally didnāt mind the Gryffindors. Heād lived with one for much of his life, and heād never had any issues. However, after a long day, the last thing he wanted to hear was a loud Gryffindor yelling about something. Heād finally gotten up to leave, glad that he was done eating and didnāt have to deal with it anymore⦠but somehow, when he was looking at him and trying not to roll his eyes, the other caught his eyes. The brunet paused for a moment and frowned, only now realizing what heād been on about.Ā āCouldnāt the elves just transfigure the oven to make it be a wood-fired pizza oven?ā
āThey could yes, but the magic would be taxing, wouldnāt it?ā He shrugged slightly.Ā āItād be so much easier for them if they already had the means rather than having to create and oven each week just to cook dinner for all of us.ā
{ xander }ā:
Xander raised his eyebrows at the other and stopped in his tracks where heād been passing to get to the slytherin table, glancing around before pointing at himself.Ā āMe?ā he questioned.Ā āIf you want to talk pizza, wouldnāt it be easier to use a regular over rather than a fire one?ā he asked, shrugging his shoulders.Ā āIāll sign the petition, but Iād suggest a regular oven. Quicker, arenāt they?āĀ
āYes, you!ā Ted laughed a bit and shook his head.Ā āQuicker, yes, but pizza just tastes so much better being cooked on a wood-fire oven. Itās all about the way something is cooked that makes it better.ā
{ molly }ā:
Molly loved baking and cooking, and trying out new things in the kitchen was part of the fun. And when she heard the other mention a wood-fired pizza oven, she realized she never even tried that. So quickly, a grin spread on her face.Ā āIāll only sign it if you show me how to use it once itās there.ā She replied.Ā āDo you think itāll work though? Itād be fun to have one but would they allow it?ā
āOf course, Molls!ā He smiled widely.Ā āYou know Iād love to have a buddy in the kitchen with me! I love cooking by myself, but itās always nice to have a friend to talk to and spend some time with.ā
{ kingsley }ā:
Kingsley let out a heavy sigh at his question, shaking his head a bit.Ā āIt was just a book, but it was written almost a hundred years ago⦠and I canāt believe some of the things they really thought were true.ā Kingsley admitted, shaking his head.Ā āI donāt particularly like coffee, but I need it today.ā
Ted chuckled and shook his head.Ā āMustāve really been a sleepless night if you need coffee.ā He flashed Kingsley and smile.Ā āThough, it does have more caffeine than tea, so I donāt blame you. Well, now Iām curious--what exactly did you learn?ā
{ @finestra-startersā }
āIām just saying,ā Ted said, gesturing wildly with his hands as he stood to the side of the Gryffindor table.Ā āIf the kitchens had a wood-fired pizza oven, weād all be a lot happier, and I could make pizzas for everyone around. Now! If that sounds like a good idea, start by signing my petition. You there--ā As he made eye-contact with someone, he smiled--Ā āHow about you sign my petition for a wood-fired pizza oven in the kitchens?ā
{ kingsley }ā:
āSomeone has to stop me from reading old literature and journals before going to sleep. Last night I read something⦠interesting, to say the least, and now I canāt get the image out of my head. I barely slept at all.ā Kingsley admitted as he sipped at a cup of coffee - not his usual drink, but, like he said, he didnāt sleep much.
@finestra-startersā
Ted glanced up from his breakfast, smiling slightly before he gave him a curious look.Ā āWhat exactly did you read that kept you up for so long?ā He glanced down at the coffee and chuckled.Ā āIāve very rarely seen you drink coffee.ā
{ emmeline }ā:
āā¦and really, no one even talks about how important it is to have a female in power! Weāve only had males in charge for decades and look where thatās brought us.ā Emmeline finished her tirade, her cheeks a little pink from the lack of air during her speech. She deflated slightly when she looked at the person across from her. āOi, were you even listening?ā She asked with a frown, leaning back against her chair and crossing her arms.
@finestra-starters
ā
āOf course I was listening,ā he said, holding his hands out on either side of him.Ā āI was just processing it before I added anything to the conversation! I think youāre right though. A woman in charge would give a much needed perspective to a lot of our prevailing issues, honestly.ā
{ andromeda }ā:
āI just flat out refused,ā Andromeda laughed softly, shaking her head, before letting out a sigh.Ā āFeels like I am,ā She admitted, before a small smile crossed her lips.Ā āMind if I join in making them? Itās been a while since Iāve been in the kitchen making things for myself. I kind of miss it.ā
āSounds like you.ā He chuckled, turning to search for the last couple ingredients.Ā āWant to start measuring the flour?Ā āDromeda, you know you can always steal me away to cook or bake if you need to. We both know I can never say no to you.ā
{ andromeda }ā:
āYeah, the stares get a little much at times. Itās like people are waiting for you to just break,ā She sighed, running a hand through her already unkempt hair. She was sure she looked a state and her mother would be less than pleased, but she didnāt feel the need for false presences around Ted.Ā āOh, sheās tried with me, I think she gave up years ago,ā Andromeda admitted sheepishly.Ā āI- I donāt know. Iām exhausted and Iām worried about my family and Sirius wonāt talk to me. I just constantly feel like Iām screwing up, like I canāt do anything right.ā
Ted nodded, knowing she was under more of microscope than he was. He had his own societal problems to deal with, but he hadnāt had to worry about his own family not approving of him like she did.Ā āMaybe I need to take a page out of your book and figure out how to get her to let me stay.ā He smiled softly, letting her know he was just teasing until he heard her next words.Ā āYouāre not screwing up,Ā āDromeda. Usually--ā Ted moved back to the cabinets, searching for a few ingredients--Ā āWhen I feel like Iām screwing everything up, I make pancakes. If the distraction doesnāt help, usually eating something does.ā
