Ron Finley Takes off Our Skin

Sandra McNeil, executive director of TRUST SouthLA, is speaking very strongly about the way that economic justice can be won through communally-held land.

Finding a way to hold down the cost of rent is done by members of the TRUST controlling almost the entire process of buying property, holding, leasing, renting, and ultimately sharing. A strong case for a return to The Commons.

Sarah Fretwell Wants You To Know

That women in the Congo are counting on you to stop their victimization by demanding conflict-free electronic devices.

Getting past the devastation of the stories by recognizing that the person who told it, lived it.

Trying to get the story told and in front of readers around the world. Was a major task as people in the West, readily distanced themselves from this "woman issue story," or from this "two year old story." The truth is that the story is not old, it never stopped, and it is only occurring because of the battle between the various countries who have invaded the Congo to battle over its wealth which Westerners are willing to pay for.

Rape is a strategy of war and no perpetrator has ever been brought to justice for using rape as a weapon. Rape is used around the world as a tool of conquest because t is cheaper than a bullet.

The stories must be told, but more importantly, we must understand how we can stop it from recurring. What are some moves we can make in our daily comings and goings that would reduce the value of a conflict mineral?

Go find your unreasonable thing and start doing it right now!

Skid Row is Inevitable

Mitch Artman is shaking us a bit, pointing to the ways in which we are complicit in creating. Twin Towers is the largest mental institution in the WORLD...and it is a jail.  Most people are there for parole violation...

On his way here, Mitch saw  group of cats "Training" on killing a mouse. They would let it go, and capture it again. Over and over. He wanted to jump the fence to kill the mouse out of compassion, but the entire fence was topped with barbed wire, all the way around.

" Sometimes you can't jump the fence to save the mouse. Sometimes you can only send compassion to the mouse."
