"Successful entrepreneurship is never easy and it doesn’t need to rely on the giving nature of your friends to succeed. It’s a much harder road, but it’s a sustainable road, one that your friends and family will be happy to see you succeed on."
By Trent Hamm, from thesimpledollar.com
Will you let anyone interrupt your dreams to build theirs?
Your dreams, or mine.
The question is. Why your dreams, when I have my own dreams I want to build?
Shoot all the bluejays you want if you can hit 'em, but remember it's a sin to kill a mockingbird"
To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee
This… if you are just starting out to learn jazz like me, here’s a link with pretty good guides on which tunes to work on and prioritise. Many times, I get so overwhelmed with the selection of tunes that I don't know which tunes I should start with! Thanks to the blog! Now I am on my way to build my list of jazz standards and prepare myself for the next goal - jam sessions hahah
Dessert Sunday. Who can resist?!?

Already loving the book just by flipping through the first page
It was such a rare occasion to get a week night off, and when I did, i was glad that I went for a music workshop curated by one of the renown jazz musicians in Singapore, Aya Sekine. I love listening to others' stories about their journey and success. It makes you hungry for their passion, and start to do and plan something on your own so you can grow as an artist/musician. It was also beautiful when they share their challenges and perseverance to the end - that passion, is what i crave for. Music is never an easy path, but these musicians pressed on and persisted to do what they love with much sweat, blood and tears. It was the appreciation they receive for that night of performance from the floor and making new friends, that made all efforts worthwhile. I went home, fully fed with their passion, and decided to switch on my logic pro and do a piano cover on sound cloud. As a musician, it is so important to be constantly inspired and I personally feel that by attending talks and gigs, is the source to fill that vacuum caused by our daily routine and work commitment. Here's a very RAW piano cover (you can hear the little mistakes and no editing done) - A House is not a Home, by team Burt Bacharach and Hal David, first performed by Dionne Warwick and later covered by other jazz musicians including Bill Evans himself. My version is nowhere near the jazz greats, but i hope you guys enjoy it. A House Is Not A Home by Celia Ashlee Liu on #SoundCloud
Many times we are told to follow our passions and live in it like you only live once. What if you don't know what your passions are or do you even have one? Now we have lift that pressure off finding that passion and dig into these lifehacks activities. Give it a shot! Perhaps it will change your life into wonders too :)
