Fun fact: Rick Riordan has a self-insert character in the PJO universe that has appeared in a few of the side books, has even been mentioned in some of the main books, and as interacted with many of the characters

The self-insert character is literally Rick Riordan. I mean, it’s the PJO universe’s version of Rick Riordan, named Rick Riordan. He’s not even trying to hide it.
