There are times in our lives when it is difficult to envisage our dreams, due to certain events and people. These circumstances can discourage and demotivate us. As the saying goes, 'there is always light at the end of the tunnel', meaning there is always a solution and some form of enlightenment i.e. a goal to aspire to, in order to lead us to success. Bullying in school

School environments can be extremely pressurizing, due to our peers being rather judgmental. What makes this worse is when they turn to bullying. Usually, a bully is someone who has been mistreated themselves. Regardless of the circumstances, bullying is unacceptable. 

In order to tackle bullying, it is important to respond sensibly. This can take the form of finding a mediator who may convince/inform the bully that their actions are simply deplorable. 

In more serious situations, it may require teacher intervention, thereby you must approach them at a suitable time. This method might result in punishment and future prevention.

It is worth asking any anti-bullying teams in your school for help as they are well acquainted with the school environment and would be trained to deal with such situations.

Even though bullies may lower your self esteem, in order to raise their own, you must continue to power through and remember that you are valuable. It is not worth allowing an individual or group of individuals affect your opinion of yourself. You have the power to defeat all perils, including bullying.

I have a problem where I don't know if I am bi or straight. Up to the 7th grade, I have always thought of myself as straight because that was the "norm". I had crushes on guys and only guys. Lately however (I am going into grade 10 now; i am 15), a little voice inside my head won't stop pestering me. I am always questioning my sexuality these days. I have even began to lose sleep over it. I want to tell my best friend but I don't know what to come out as. I just need to tell someone! Pls help xx

Considering that you are unsure and are losing sleep over this, I suggest that you seek advice from a guidance counselor or your parents (if you feel that you can talk about it). This way you will be able to channel your thoughts in a more suitable manner. 

I also suggest that you do not tell your best friend until you are fully aware of your sexuality and don’t feel the need to disclose it to a large amount of people, until you are ready. as it is a personal matter.
