I got clowns on the mind today, and it's not just my little space creatures

I hit Zenigata and @a-very-questionably-unstable-box's Paprika with the clown beam point blank as a lil treat :)

..Totally not for a silly joke AU.. that I thought a little too extensively about.. and that I may or may not draw more designs for.. haha.. totally not.. nooo.. haha..

Vera is a timid Mime.. she doesn't speak, but may have a squeaker in her mouth to make squeaky noises on occasion.. She is a "tragedy" type as she isn't very good at clownery.. juggling? only 2 and not entirely well..

Jigen being a Pierrot is nice and funny. :) "lovesick" but also relates to the Pagliacci opera and how the character of Pierrot.. is violently distraught over the infidelity of his love.. There's layers here and I live for that.

Zenigata being your standard clown type is pretty good.. but also I think him being maybe a "hobo" clown could also work? They tend to have sad looks, but they also have styles and colors that would fit Zenigata nicely. Very unfortunate, but he's making do! it kinda works. a little bit symbolic?

Lupin could be similar to Paprika in that regard, but I feel like Lupin could better fit more of a carnival/circus clown. one who is made for entertainment, the main act of clowning and tomfoolery! He could perform many tricks and "magic" and more (sleight of hand types of things "watch the hands!" he says, and yet you still can't follow what he does and catch the trick in the act. you're left puzzled and amazed) (and he's made off with your watch and wallet-- the gig only pays so much!! …Jigen & Goemon may also be in on it.. Fujiko targets the wealthier bunch that drop by)

Zenigata being the lead clown.. Lupin is the main act, but Zenigata is the lead clown. He tells the others what to do and organizes and plans out their acts and such. All but Vera are performer clowns. Vera's only real job is to squeak her introduction to announce the others into the ring and then she leaves-- but not without faking a trip or stumble once in a while for her leave just before the others come out.

Do you guys think once eridians learn what humans look like grace essentially becomes their blueprint for like. Their equivalent of little green men with big black eyes. Like he becomes the stereotypical "alien" form. And like. They make little toys that look like him. There's kids with alien themed birthday parties where the erid-equivalent of balloons are like a shitty shape of grace. Every human in every eridian scifi novel wears glasses because they just assumed they all have those. Like. I love grace as a beloved teacher and scientist and savior of worlds with his face on statues and monuments but like. What if his face was on shitty tourist traps too.
